Over 2.5 Goals Tips: Four selections for Saturday

Goals are the order of the day for us on Saturday as we turn our attention to games across the Premier League and League 1. We’ve selected four games for our over 2.5 goals tips for Saturday, November 9 as we search for more winners this weekend.
Over 2.5 goals - Saturday, November 9
- Brentford vs Bournemouth @ 8/15
- Birmingham vs Northampton @ 8/15
- Stockport County vs Bolton Wanderers @ 5/6
- Wigan Athletic vs Wycombe Wanderers @ 10/11
Accumulator pays 7/1
Brentford vs Bournemouth @ 8/15
Brentford have the joint-highest over 2.5 goals percentage in the Premier League as eight of their 10 league matches so far this season have recorded at least three goals. They’ve been seriously struggling defensively of late, while their record at the Gtech Stadium is outrageous.
Their last four outings have all ended with over 2.5 goals, and their recent results at home read 4-3, 5-3 and 3-1. All entertaining home wins, and I feel we could be on for another thriller here against Bournemouth. The Cherries have only seen over 2.5 goals on four occasions this term, but they have an exciting attack and are fresh off the back of beating Manchester City 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium.
I think both teams will find the net here and we will be onto a winner if either side find that third goal. Brentford are set to thrill us all on home soil once again.

Birmingham vs Northampton @ 8/15
Birmingham are the dominant force in League 1 this season and I expect them to show their class against Northampton this weekend. They are yet to score more than three goals in a game this season in the league, but they have managed three on four occasions and I think it is only a matter of time before they smash an opponent.
Northampton have seen over 2.5 goals in eight of their 13 league games so far this season and in all of their last four games in all competitions we have seen at least three goals. Up against such a good team, this one should come in, with the likes of Alfie May and Jay Stansfield likely to cause havoc.

Stockport County vs Bolton Wanderers @ 5/6
Bolton have seen over 2.5 goals in seven out of their 13 league matches so far and although the statistics don’t particularly point towards this one being packed full of goals, I just think there is too much quality on show for it to be a stalemate. Stockport and Bolton should both be promotion contenders this term and recently the Hatters have seen loads of goals.
They were surprisingly hammered 5-0 at home by Wycombe Wanderers in midweek, which followed a 2-1 FA Cup win over Forest Green Rovers and a 4-1 hammering of Reading. There’s a lot of quality in this team, in the form of Louie Barry in particular, but the goalkeeping situation has without a doubt caused them problems.
Corey Addai was tactically substituted a few weeks ago, and although he has regained his place, confidence must be on the floor after another tough showing vs Wycombe. Meanwhile Bolton beat Stevenage 4-1 on the road last time out in the league, so I’m expecting more goals at Edgeley Park this weekend.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Wigan Athletic vs Wycombe Wanderers @ 10/11
Talking of Wycombe… They took top spot from Birmingham City on Tuesday night after that 5-0 hammering of Stockport and clearly offer value in the over 2.5 goals market in League 1. They sit top of the tree in this statistic, with 11 of their 13 matches ending with over 2.5 goals so far.
That gives them a success rate of 85 per cent, so I’m happy to get on board with them again. Wigan have seen over 2.5 goals in their last two league games, with a 2-2 draw with Blackpool following up a 2-1 defeat to Mansfield.
