Over 2.5 Goals Tips: 6/1 four-fold from Saturday’s selection

The weekend is upon us and I am back to deliver my over 2.5 goals tips for the weekend. My midweek predictions saw three out of four land, so I am hoping for a clean sweep this time around.
There is plenty of football coming our way on Saturday, and I have hand-picked four matches ranging from the Scottish Premiership to club friendlies, in which I am expecting to the see the goals fly. Read on to find out my selections below.
Over 2.5 Goals Tips
- Hearts vs Rangers
- Motherwell vs Ross County
- Lugano vs Servette
- Bayern Munich vs Tottenham Hotspur
Over 2.5 goals acca pays at 6.13/1
Hearts vs Rangers
The Scottish Premiership gets underway this weekend and hopeful title contenders Rangers will be hoping for a strong start as they travel to Edinburgh to face Hearts.
The hosts have not had the most enjoyable pre-season when it comes to results, having lost their last three matches against Leyton Orient, Tottenham Hotspur and Fleetwood Town respectively. Philippe Clement and his players will be thinking that the Jam Tarts are easy to score against, but they too have had some concerns heading into the new campaign.
There are murmurs that the Gers boss has lost the dressing room, following his announcement about Todd Cantwell handing in a transfer request. Some feel that he needs a really fruitful start to the new campaign if he is to keep his job. They have had a fairly disappointing run of games in pre-season but lucky for both teams, they just serve as warm-up exercises.
With both teams having conceded quite a few goals in pre-season, it would suggest that there should be no issues with a few more being scored in this league opener. I think over 2.5 goals is worth backing at Tynecastle Park.
Motherwell vs Ross County
Two sides that will be feeling prepped for the new campaign thanks to their participation of the group stage of the Scottish League Cup are Motherwell and Ross County. They meet at Fir Park for their Scottish Premiership, and this is another match where I am expecting goals to fly.
They may have been facing lower league opposition in their Scottish League Cup fixtures, but both sides were demonstrating their attacking quality in the four games they played. Motherwell ended their group campaign having scored seven goals, while Ross County themselves netted 10.
They both topped their groups, with Ross County taking maximum points, so they will fancy their chances to get up and running for the new term on away territory. Given the attacking prowess we have seen from them over the past few weeks, I am confident that over 2.5 goals will deliver here.
Lugano vs Servette
Over in the Swiss Super League, there is an exciting clash taking place as fourth-place Lugano entertain league leaders Servette. The hosts have a game in hand on the visitors, who have won all three of their matches so far, while Lugano themselves have taken six points from six.
It's early days but it looks like both these sides are laying down a marker as they aim to dethrone Young Boys as the league champions. There should be no shortage of fireworks in this one given the quality in attack on both teams.
As a result of this, I have no doubts that we will see at least three goals scored in this match. Both of Lugano's two Super League matches so far has seen over 2.5 goals land, and it has also delivered in their two meetings with Fenerbahce in the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
Over 2.5 goals has been a winning selection in all three of Servette's league fixtures, so all evidence is pointing towards a goal-fest in Lugano on Saturday. Last term, Lugano finished second with Servette just one point behind them in third.
They both know that they are equally a threat to one another's title ambitions as much as Young Boys are, so this game will be huge despite the campaign still being in its infancy.
Bayern Munich vs Tottenham Hotspur
Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur clash in Seoul for the first of a double-header pre-season friendly, and with the new Bundesliga and Premier League campaigns on the horizon, both teams are expected to name strong lineups for Saturday's clash.
There will be no Spurs reunion for Bayern striker Harry Kane, who is still on an extended leave of absence following his Euro 2024 participation. Even without him, Bayern will have plenty of firepower in the likes of Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry and Mathys Tel, so I think there will be goals in store for Vincent Kompany's side.
Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou enjoyed a strong start to his Premier League career in 2023/24 before a rather disappointing end to the season. The Australian will demand more this time around and these meetings with Bayern will help his side prepare for the task ahead of them in 2024/25.
There will be some who are fighting to keep their place in the squad, as Postecoglou wants to put his stamp on the team this summer, so expect a few determined performances from some Spurs stars in this one.
It may be a friendly, but I think there will be a flurry of goals in Seoul.
