Over 2.5 Goals Tips: 13/1 six-fold from Saturday’s offering

There is a wide range of football coming our way on Saturday from the FA Cup, League 1, League 2 as well as the major European leagues including Serie A and the Bundesliga. With that in mind, I think we are presented with another good opportunity to put together an over 2.5 goals accumulator.
I have picked out six matches from the competitions I have mentioned above, and together they pay out at 13/1. Below you will find my over 2.5 goals tips for Saturday, January 11.
Over 2.5 Goals Tips - Saturday, January 11
- Northampton Town vs Barnsley @ 4/5
- Grimsby Town vs Notts County @ 4/6
- Brentford vs Plymouth Argyle @ 2/7
- Leicester City vs Queens Park Rangers @ 4/7
- Udinese vs Atalanta @ 8/11
- Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayern Munich @ 1/3
Over 2.5 Goals Acca pays at 12.95/1
Northampton Town vs Barnsley @ 4/5
Barnsley are in a rhythm in League 1 right now, having won four games on the spin for the first time this season. Darrell Clarke's side now have a four-point cushion inside the play-off places and will be hoping to extend it when they travel to Northampton Town this weekend.
The Cobblers have won just one of their last five league matches and this should bode well for the Tykes. I think this game could have a flurry of goals because over 2.5 goals has been a winning selection in each of Barnsley's last seven games in the third tier - and in two of them they have managed this threshold on their own.
Things look to have clicked for them in the final third and we could see them deliver another strong offensive display against hot and cold Northampton side. Additionally, there have been at least three goals scored in two of Northampton's last three home encounters.
Grimsby Town vs Notts County @ 4/6
Dropping down a division, there is an interesting clash in terms of the play-off race in League 2 as Grimsby Town host Notts County. The visitors are three points ahead of the hosts heading into Saturday, with Grimsby currently sat outside the top six.
When the two sides met at Meadow Lane earlier in the campaign, there were plenty of goals as the Magpies were comfortable 4-1 winners. I think there will be no shortage once again given the way recent fixtures have gone for both sides.
Over 2.5 goals has struck in each of Grimsby's last five matches in the fourth tier, while it has landed in five of Notts County's last seven. The visitors have scored three goals themselves on two occasions in that run and so they will be heading into this game with plenty of confidence.
Brentford vs Plymouth Argyle @ 2/7
In the FA Cup, Premier League outfit Brentford host Championship side Plymouth Argyle. The hosts are expected to win this match comfortably given how proficient they have been in front of goal at the Gtech Community Stadium this season, while the Pilgrims have failed to win away from home all season and have shipped 53 goals in the second tier.
Depending on how much the Bees are rotated this could be a routing for Thomas Frank's team. Eight of Brentford's 10 home games in the Premier League have produced over 2.5 goals, and in six of them, they have managed this feat themselves.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Leicester City vs Queens Park Rangers @ 4/7
Sticking with the world's most famous domestic competition, I picked out this game because I feel as though there will be goals aplenty, as well as there being a chance of an upset.
This game being at home is ideal for Premier League Leicester City because Queens Park Rangers have won their last five home games in the Championship. They are in better form than their hosts, though, who have lost five on the bounce in the top flight.
Nine of the Foxes' last 10 encounters in the top flight have seen at least three goals scored, while over 2.5 goals has struck in four of QPR's last four appearances. I think this could be an interesting contest and one filled with goals on Saturday.
Udinese vs Atalanta @ 8/11
Over to Italy now where Serie A title challengers Atalanta head to Udinese. Gian Piero Gasperini's side are on an impressive unbeaten run of 13 matches, which included 11 wins on the spin. Seven of the games during this unbeaten streak yielded at least three goals, in which there were four occasions where Atalanta scored three or more themselves.
When the two sides last met in November, over 2.5 goals struck with Atalanta coming out on top in a 2-1 scoreline. I am confident we will see three goals or more when the two collide again at the weekend.
Over 2.5 goals has also struck in Udinese's last two league outings heading into this clash.
Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayern Munich @ 1/3
A fixture that has served up plenty of drama in the Bundesliga in recent years. Borussia Monchengladbach face league leaders Bayern Munich for the first time this campaign, and over the years Die Fohlen have proven to be a thorn in the side of the visiting side.
There have also been plenty of thrilling contests between them too, which is why I think this game on Sky Sports Football (17:30) could be another cracker. Four of the last five meetings in the league have produced three goals or more, including each of the last three.
Gladbach's last two results heading into this game have produced over 2.5 goals, so I can see this trend continuing at Borussia-Park. There have also been at least three goals scored in each of Bayern's last three Bundesliga fixtures, which would suggest that we will be entertained on Saturday evening.
