Osasuna midfielder Jon Moncayola remains sidelined with a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the last four matches.

Defender Abel Bretones will be hoping for a recall after dropping to the bench at the weekend following a run of six consecutive starts. He faces a tussle with Juan Cruz at left-back, which may be difficult as Cruz helped Los Rojillos to an impressive point at in-form Real Betis on Sunday.

Ante Budimir has had a phenomenal season for the hosts, with the striker bagging 19 goals in the league this term. Only Kylian Mbappe (27) and Robert Lewandowski (25) have netted more than the Croatian international.

Atletico will welcome back their second-top scorer Julian Alvarez on Thursday following a one-game suspension, and he could be deployed alongside the Rojiblancos' leading marksman Alexander Sorloth, who netted all four goals against Real Sociedad at the weekend.

Rodrigo Riquelme will need to be assessed ahead of the trip to Pamplona after he wasn't fit enough to feature in the last match.

Jan Oblak is expected to continue in between the sticks for the visitors, shielded by a back four of Marcos Llorente, Jose Maria Gimenez, Robin Le Normand and Javi Galan.

Atletico have Champions League football for next season secured but they will look to finish the season as strongly as possible. They have an excellent record at Osasuna in recent years and I am backing them to notch an eighth consecutive victory here in La Liga.

Diego Simeone's side turned in an impressive 4-0 win at home to La Real last time out and they have now won four of their past six fixtures in the top flight. They face a tough test as the hosts have won two on the spin at El Sadar, however, Atleti possess far greater quality in depth and I believe they have more than enough to extend their winning streak in Pamplona.

Alvarez's return could play a part here as he will be replenished after sitting out at the weekend. Putting him next to Sorloth would put a lot of pressure on Osasuna's defenders and I think it will be difficult for them to keep two players, who have contributed a combined 32 goals this season, quiet.

Sorloth is arguably the first port of call when looking at goalscorers for this match and understandably so after his sublime performance against Sociedad, but it is Alvarez I fancy to get on the scoresheet here.

As I mentioned in my previous selection, he will come back recharged from his suspension and I believe this can lead to him having a great impact on the game against Osasuna.

The Argentina international is enjoying an excellent debut campaign for Atleti following his move from Manchester City last summer, and with three games left to play he is five goals shy of reaching the 20-mark in La Liga.

Alvarez has been in good form in recent weeks, netting four times in his past five appearances, while he was the match-winner when the two sides met at Riyadh Air Metropolitano for the reverse fixture back in January.
