Osasuna vs Mallorca Prediction: Visitors can inch further to safety at El Sadar

A 1-0 victory over Las Palmas on Saturday broke Real Mallorca out of a five-game winless run in La Liga and significantly bolstered their chances of survival. Los Piratas now have the chance to confirm their top-tier status for another season when they travel to Pamplona on Tuesday evening to take on Osasuna at Estadio El Sedar.
The game will shown live in the UK on Premier Sports 1 (KO, 18:30), and you can build up to the action by checking out my Osasuna vs Mallorca prediction below.
Osasuna vs Mallorca Betting Tips
Osasuna snapped out of a run of four straight defeats with a 2-2 draw at Athletic Club on the weekend, but it could have been so much more for Los Rojillos, who were two goals to the good at San Mames before succumbing to the pressure applied by their hosts.
Jagoba Arrasate's side are now winless in their last five and haven't won at home since March 4, but still have a great chance of finishing in the top 10 as they are just three points behind 10th-placed Getafe.
Mallorca, meanwhile, are 15th, six points ahead of 18th-placed Cadiz with three rounds of games remaining. A win on Tuesday would all but secure their survival, as their relegation rivals would need to win their last three games and overcome a significant goal-difference deficit.
Los Piratas have won just once away from home all season, however, and that was way back on September 16 when they beat Celta Vigo 1-0.
Team News
Osasuna continue to be without several first-team stars including Ante Budimir, David Garcia and Moi Gomez, but Arrasate will welcome Jon Moncayola back into the squad after the midfielder served a suspension last time out.
Mallorca will be forced to make at least two alterations to their starting XI after defender Martin Valjent and striker Vedat Muriqi both picked up their fifth yellow cards of the campaign on Saturday, ruling them out of Tuesday's fixture. Matija Nastasic and Abdon Prats could replace the pair.

Osasuna are 13/8 to pick up a long-awaited three points on Tuesday, giving them an implied win probability of 38.1%, while Mallorca are 15/8, or a 34.8% chance.
The draw can be backed at 2/1, both teams to score at 6/5, and over 2.5 goals at 7/4.
December's reverse fixture at Estadi Mallorca Son Moix saw the Aguirre's side run out 3-2 winners, and it's 50/1 for Mallorca to win by that scoreline again.
Correct score - Draw 1-1 @ 15/2
Another 3-2 feels like a long shot given Osasuna and Mallorca's recent records in front of goal. Before striking twice at San Mames on Saturday, Osasuna had scored just once in their previous four games, failing to breach the defence of Granada, Rayo Vallecano or Real Betis, with the latter two games at home.
Mallorca, meanwhile, haven't scored more than once in a game since beating Rayo Vallecano 2-1 on February 11, and have just seven across their last 11 La Liga outings.
I have confidence there will be a couple of goals on Tuesday, though - equally shared.
No La Liga side has drawn more games than Mallorca (14) this term, with half (seven) of those coming away from home. Aguirre's side haven't been able to buy away win since September, but they have been resolute enough to claim a point in many.
Half of their stalemates have ended 1-1, and four of them have been outside of Mallorca. They've struggled to find the net on multiple occasions in a game, but they have struck exactly once in seven of their last 11 matches.
Osasuna got back in the scoring groove in Bilbao on Saturday and that should give them confidence heading into Tuesday. They will surely push for the win in front of their supporters but injuries continue to hamper them, and their opponents will make it difficult for them.
A draw for Mallorca would be enough to mathematically ensure their safety this week, providing Cadiz lose at Sevilla on Wednesday.
Raul Garcia anytime goalscorer @ 13/5
Osasuna striker Raul Garcia opened the scoring at San Mames on Saturday but that was just his fourth strike of the campaign and his first since January 21.
His previous two - at home to Rayo Vallecano on December 15 and away to Mallorca on December 21 - came in quick succession and he will be hoping to repeat that feat of finding the net in back-to-back games.
Scoring last time out, and playing a side he has already struck past this season, should give him huge confidence ahead of Tuesday's clash.
