Forest and Fulham have very different ambitions as they prepare to meet at the City Ground on Tuesday evening (19:30) in the Premier League.

While Fulham look to match or even better last season's surprise 10th-placed finish, Forest find themselves once more locked in a relegation scrap and know games like these need to be won to boost their survival chances.

Nottingham Forest vs Fulham Prediction

  • Fulham to win @ 9/5
  • Fulham to win most corners @ EVS

Team News

Taiwo Awoniyi missed out against Crystal Palace on Saturday, so Chris Wood, scorer of seven since Christmas, should continue to lead the Forest attack.

Armando Broja is unlikely to get a recall by Fulham boss Marco Silva, who needs to decide if 35-year-old Willian can start two games in three days.

Match Odds

Forest, winners of four home games this season, are 6/4 - or a 40% chance - to see off a Fulham side, winners of just two away, who are 9/5, while the draw is available at 12/5.

Both teams will be looking to their in-form strikers, with Wood 7/2 to score first and Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz 7/2 to do likewise.

Over 2.5 goals, which has landed in Fulham's last eight Premier League matches, is 4/5, while both teams to score is priced at 4/6.

Fulham to win @ 9/5

Fulham crushed Forest 5-0 when they met at Craven Cottage in December and have won all three Premier League fixtures between the sides over the past 18 months.

And on current form, Marco Silva's mid-table side gets the nod at 9/5.

Fulham's dodgy away form, two wins all season, could well weigh heavily on the minds of anyone taking a view on this game.

But the form they are in is more persuasive. They have lost three in the league since New Year's Eve, a run that has included wins over Arsenal, Brighton, Manchester United and Tottenham and culminated in Saturday's come-from-behind 3-3 draw at Sheffield United, a game they should have won easily but at least fought back gamely not to lose.

Forest are looking at their home form for an escape route from the mess they are in, just as last season.

However, the wins are not coming at home, or indeed anywhere at the moment, with Nuno Espirito Santo's men on a run of just one success in ten. That, combined with a points deduction, has put them in their current plight.

Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Crystal Palace was an opportunity missed and it won't get any easier overcoming a confident Fulham side who are under absolutely no pressure.

Fulham to win most corners @ EVS

There'll be no sitting back from two sides who will see this as a winnable fixture, which should, in turn, lead to a respectable corner count.

Corner stats is a category where Fulham leave Forest in the shade.

Only Sheffield United have won fewer corners than Nuno's men, who, even chasing the game against Palace on Saturday, could manage just four.

Nuno's men average 3.8 per game. Fulham, in contrast, average 5.7 corners per game and piled up 15 at Bramall Lane at the week, admittedly against a pretty ropey defensive unit in Sheffield United.

They won the corner count 6-1 in the home match and can win that particular battle again, even in enemy territory.
