14th hosts 8th in the Premier League on Saturday at 15:00 as Nottingham Forest welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to the City Ground. Steve Cooper will hope to get back to winning ways after his side conceded late on at West Ham before the international break.

Below we have taken a look at this match-up and come up with a couple of betting angles.

Nottingham Forest vs Brighton

  • Draw and BTTS @ 16/5
  • Forest 1-1 Brighton @ 6/1

Team News

Callum Hudson-Odoi remains out for the hosts after picking up a hamstring injury, but Felipe is nearing a potential return. World Cup winner Gonzalo Montiel looks to be out for this one with a leg injury.

Brighton have a whole host of issues to deal with. Julio Enciso is out until December, James Milner and Pervis Estupinian have muscular issues and Lewis Dunk missed England’s camp. Mahmoud Dahoud is suspended, while Solly March and Danny Welbeck are out until 2024.

Match Odds

Nottingham Forest are 2/1 to win this one with a draw available at 5/2. Brighton are the marginal favourites at 23/20, BTTS is 8/15 and over 2.5 goals is 4/6

Draw and BTTS @ 16/5

These two are incredibly well-matched in my eyes, despite the six points that separate them in the Premier League table. When you consider Nottingham Forest’s strong home form, it truly is a leveller for this weekend’s clash. Forest are unbeaten in the Premier League so far this term, having won two and drawn three of their five matches to date.

Meanwhile, Brighton have won two, lost two and drawn one of their five league games on the road in the league. What we can expect is both teams to get on the scoresheet here. The Seagulls have scored in every single one of their Premier League matches so far, and they’ve scored in all but one in all competitions. Meanwhile, Forest have netted in three of their last four outings.

I can’t separate these two, and an entertaining affair is expected at the City Ground. Therefore, the 16/5 available on a draw with BTTS is my first pick.

Forest 1-1 Brighton @ 6/1

Interestingly, we can get a much bigger price if we nail the correct scoreline. Given we believe this will be a score draw, it already limits our options down somewhat in this market. Taking a look at Brighton’s recent results, it makes total sense to plump for the 1-1 draw. This has been the scoreline in their last three Premier League matches, against similar opposition in Sheffield United, Everton and Fulham. They had 2-2 draws with Liverpool and Marseille before that, but it just feels as though they’ve lost that winning touch in the league.

Forest have drawn three of their last six and are likely to concede the majority of possession to this talented Brighton outfit. As a result, chances could be limited for them, but I just feel the 1-1 scoreline has the best chance of landing, and 6/1 is a good price on this particular correct score.
