Live on Sky Sports at noon on Sunday, the Championship offers up a clash between a Norwich side in dismal form, and a Blackburn Rovers outfit with play-off ambitions. Below we’ve taken a look at the fixture, and given a couple of betting selections.

Norwich vs Blackburn Tips

  • Blackburn to win @ 21/10
  • Blackburn to win both halves @ 10/1

Team News

Under pressure David Wagner remains without Josh Sargent, but has no other injury issues to speak of. Meanwhile, Hayden Carter picked up an injury at Chelsea in midweek and may well miss this fixture. Dom Hyam remains out, as do Sam Gallagher, Lewis Travis and Aynsley Pears.

Match Odds

Norwich City are 11/10 favourites to win this match, while a draw can be backed at 13/5. Blackburn to win is 21/10, while BTTS is available at 1/2. Over 2.5 goals is 8/15, while Adam Idah is 7/4 to score anytime.

Blackburn to win @ 21/10

It seems bizarre that Norwich are favourites for this match, in my opinion. David Wagner is coming under increasing pressure in the dugout and it feels like one more defeat could be the tipping point for the Norwich board. Unfortunately in these circumstances, as we saw with Dean Smith, playing at Carrow Road is a negative, rather than a positive.

Norwich haven’t won in their last five matches, losing four of them and they’ve only won one of their last nine in all competitions. The Canaries have attacking talent, and one of the finest midfielders in the league in Gabriel Sara, but aside from that, they aren’t showing much cohesiveness.

Meanwhile, Blackburn continue to impress under Jon Dahl Tomasson. They’ve not started as well as they did last term, but they gave Chelsea a good game in midweek, having lost at home to Swansea in their last Championship outing. Interestingly, Rovers have won their last two away league matches, beating QPR and Millwall on the road. They can make it three on the bounce here.

Blackburn to win both halves @ 10/1

10/1 feels like a big price for Blackburn to win both halves, especially given the atmosphere that is likely to envelop Carrow Road if they concede the first goal. Blackburn scored in both halves at Millwall and twice in both halves at QPR - their two most recent Championship away matches.

I can see them scoring first at Carrow Road, early on, and taking advantage of a hostile home crowd in the second half. This could be a big win from an exciting Blackburn side, who love to attack and score goals. 10/1 is a huge price given the negativity surrounding Norwich at the moment.
