Norway welcome Kazakhstan to the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo on Sunday (17:00, YouTube) in the Uefa Nations League. The hosts have a shot at topping League B Group 3 and earning promotion to League A if they can better Austria's result with Slovenia.

Kazakhstan have looked out of their depth throughout this campaign, so this should be routine for the Scandinavian side. Read on for my Norway vs Kazakhstan prediction, featuring match odds and team news.

Norway vs Kazakhstan Betting Tips

  • Norway to win to nil @ 8/13
  • Erling Haaland to score two or more goals @ 9/5

Norway vs Kazakhstan Odds

Norway are 1/8 to win this match, which gives them a theoretical chance of 88.9%. Kazakhstan are valued at 20/1 to pull off an upset, giving them an implied probability of 4.8%. The draw is on offer at 15/2 (11.8%).

Both teams to score is marketed at 11/8 and over 2.5 goals can be backed at 4/9.

Norway striker Erling Haaland has four goals in the Nations League so far and he is 15/8 to open the scoring on Sunday. Fellow forward Alexander Sorloth has two for himself and he is priced at 11/10 to find the back of the net at any stage during this contest.

Teenage winger Antonio Nusa netted a brace against Slovenia on Thursday and he is 2/1 to score again this weekend.

Team News

He may have returned from an injury he sustained on international duty for his club Arsenal, but Martin Odegaard was not risked for this international camp, which likely pleased Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.

It gave Manchester City forward Haaland a lot of extra responsibility on the goal front and he delivered one against Slovenia. Nusa grabbed the headlines, however, and both are set to start against Kazakhstan in this important clash. Sorloth is expected to partner Haaland up front once again.

Traditionally a right-back, Borussia Dortmund's Julian Ryerson has been used on the left side on occasion, and he was deployed there on Thursday. He is expected to keep his place in the side alongside West Bromwich Albion's Torbjorn Heggem and Rennes' Leo Ostigard in the heart of the defence.

Fulham's Sander Berge should continue in the middle of the park and Lasse Berg Johnsen could partner him again. Jens Petter Hauge scored from the bench last time out and will be pushing for a starting spot on one of the flanks.

Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Jorgen Strand Larsen made an appearance from the bench but he's going to find it difficult to dislodge the main front pairing against Kazakhstan.

The visitors have no fresh concerns heading into this match - apart from the fact that they are yet to score a goal in this competition.

Norway to win to nil @ 8/13

Norway are playing at home, need to win to give themselves the best chance of topping the group, and are facing a side who have just a point to their name and who have failed to score a single goal thus far.

The hosts couldn't have asked for a better final game in the Nations League, and as such I think they will be able to win this one comfortably. I've gone for them to win to nil, but even the price of this market isn't the most appetising.

Stale Solbakken's side head into the weekend full of confidence after an emphatic four-goal showing against Slovenia on Thursday, firing a warning to Austria, whom they are up against for top spot.

There were three different scorers in the game so the manager can rely on more than just his superstar strikers to find the back of the net.

Kazakhstan won't have much enthusiasm for this game either. They want this campaign over so they can put it behind them. They've already been relegated and the players will be dejected in Oslo as they still have one more game to play.

This should make life simple for Norway, who I can envisage having another productive evening in front of goal.

Erling Haaland to score two or more goals @ 9/5

Nusa was the main man the other night, but Haaland will want to take that title back on Sunday. He's been a regular source of goals in the Nations League with four already, and his goal on Thursday means that he is going to be sharp ahead of this home clash with Kazakhstan.

He knows what's at stake and he will want to deliver a strong performance to give his team the best possible chance of topping the group. On a personal note, he could benefit from a few more goals to send him back to Manchester with some confidence.

The Citizens have lost their last four matches in a row for the first time under Pep Guardiola so it seems like they're going through a bit of a crisis at the moment. Ever since Rodri suffered his season-ending injury team, things have slowly worsened for Man City, and it has impacted Haaland's frequency of goals.

There is going to be a lot of extra responsibility on his shoulders this term, and a few goals over the international break could be the perfect reset ahead of a big few months back with his club.
