Newcastle vs Everton Prediction: Magpies to seal Champions League dream

Newcastle United will round off their Premier League campaign at home to Everton on Sunday (16:00) where a win will see them secure their place in next season's Champions League, capping off an unforgettable campaign.
Sunday's fixture means very little to the Toffees, who will no doubt still want to finish the season on a high. Read on for my Newcastle vs Everton predictions as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Alexander Isak missed last week's defeat to Arsenal with a groin injury, and is a doubt again here, though I suspect he might push his luck and hope to start, given what’s at stake for the Magpies.
If he’s deemed unfit, Callum Wilson will continue to lead the line.
Joelinton, Joe Willock, Lewis Hall and Kieran Trippier are all expected to miss out for the hosts, while Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali will retain their places in the engine room.
Newcastle vs Everton Stats
- Newcastle have won their last six Premier League games at home
- Everton have scored in six of their last eight away fixtures
James Tarkowski, Orel Mangala and Jesper Lindstrom have all been ruled out due to injury, while Jarrad Branthwaite is also a major doubt for the Toffees, and Seamus Coleman is questionable to feature.
Those absentees could mean that David Moyes deploys a back four of Ashley Young, Jake O’Brien, Michael Keane, and Vitalii Mykolenko.
There could be a start for Abdoulaye Doucoure, who will don the Everton blue for the final time on Sunday.
Newcastle are 1/3 to secure a vital three points, giving them an implied win probability of 75%, the draw is 9/2 and the Everton win is available at 17/2.
Over 2.5 goals is 1/2, and a repeat of the goalless draw the sides played out in the reverse fixture at Goodison Park back in October is 18/1.
Newcastle to win and both teams to score - yes @ 13/8
There will be nerves at St. James' Park on Sunday as Newcastle set about completing a dream campaign by securing qualification for next year's Champions League.
Victory at home to Everton will nail down a top-five finish, anything less leaves them relying on results elsewhere. Having won six in a row on home turf in the Premier League, Eddie Howe's men will be confident they can get the job done.
Newcastle's strength lies at the attacking end of the pitch, with 68 goals scored, including 40 at home where they have not failed to bag since November.
Everton have nothing left to play for as they will end the season in 13th place regardless of their result on Sunday, but they have put together a three-game unbeaten run ahead of this game and could make a game of this, which why I fancy them to score.

Over 7.5 Newcastle corners @ 11/8
As mentioned above, Newcastle need to win on Sunday, so I can envision plenty of attacking football on display, resulting in a high corner count for the hosts.
The Magpies average almost six corners per game at home and there were 17 in Sunday's defeat at Arsenal.
An all-out attacking Newcastle outfit is a scary proposition for any side to attempt to deal with, and I'm expecting Jordan Pickford to be tested plenty from all angles this weekend.
