Motherwell and Aberdeen are in the top six of the Scottish Premiership, but both teams are in poor form as of late and will be looking to turn that around with a victory when the pair meet on Sunday.

Aberdeen will be without Jack Milne and Vicente Besuijen, while long-term absentee Pape Habib Gueye is yet to return from his muscle injury.

Aberdeen had a red-hot start to the season, winning ten of their first 11 league games of the season.

However, since then, the Dons are winless in their last nine Premiership outings and have lost four on the spin after they were beaten 2-1 by strugglers Ross County at home on Thursday.

The goals have dried up for Jimmy Thelin’s men, and they have been overtaken in third place by Dundee United. It’s hard to tell when this downward spiral will end for Aberdeen and they need to turn things around sooner rather than later if they are to have a strong second-half of the season.

Motherwell have been a streaky side this term, putting together four runs of back-to-back victories but with consecutive defeats sandwiched between those.

The Steelmen have gone four games without a win and are clinging onto their top-six status barely, with Hibs and Kilmarnock on the charge.

With both teams not at their best it’s hard to fancy either for win purposes and the stalemate looks like a solid pick here.
