Motherwell vs Aberdeen Prediction: Another setback for Dons

Motherwell continue their European push on Sunday when they host an out-of-form Aberdeen side at Fir Park (14:30 kick-off).
The Dons have been terrible on their travels this term, and that could play into the hands of the fourth-placed hosts.

Motherwell will be without the suspended Lukas Fadinger, while there also doubts over Zach Robinson and John Koutroumbis.
Aberdeen have a couple of suspensions, with captain Graeme Shinnie and Jack Milne both out of this trip. The visitors have a number of injury issues too, including defender Mats Knoester.
Motherwell vs Aberdeen Predicted Lineups

Motherwell 3/5, Draw 3/1, Aberdeen 9/2
Aberdeen's shaky form has left them as 9/2 outsiders in this trip, with the draw priced at 3/1. Motherwell head into the contest as odds-on favourites at 3/5.
Aberdeen have scored only seven times in 12 away games, while the hosts have conceded just six times in 13 matches at Fir Park.
Motherwell to win to nil @ 8/5
Motherwell drew at home to Rangers in midweek, and have only suffered one defeat across 13 home matches this season. The Fir Park side have opened up a five-point cushion over fifth-placed Hibernian, putting them in a strong position to make it into Europe next term.
Aberdeen are stuck in the bottom half of the table, 16 points shy of Motherwell. The Dons head into this weekend having lost five of their last six games, and they have lost all of their visits to the top six this term. The visitors also head into this clash having lost their last four away games without scoring.
Motherwell have won eight home games this season, while they have picked up four wins across their six-game unbeaten run.
The hosts have the best defensive record in the division, and they can shut down an Aberdeen side who have struggled for goals on the road.
The Dons are underperforming their Expected Goals tally by the third-largest margin in the division, so back Motherwell to secure a win and keep another clean sheet.

Tawanda Maswanhise to score first @ 11/4
While Motherwell are in impressive shape at the back, they also have the Premiership's top goalscorer at the other end of the pitch. Tawanda Maswanhise has scored 13 goals this term, despite departing for the Africa Cup of Nations in December.
Maswanhise scored at that tournament for Zimbabwe, and he's been in fine form since returning to club football. The forward has scored in four of his last five league games for Motherwell, finding the net five times in that stretch.
He has scored six times in 11 home matches in the Premiership, and should get chances against an Aberdeen side that lost 3-0 to Kilmarnock last time out. Maswanhise has scored the opening goal in four of Motherwell's last six matches across all competitions, so back him to open the scoring at 11/4.
