Motherwell have found some form of late, putting together a five-match unbeaten run and they will be keen to extend that sequence against an out–of-form Ross County who have failed to win any of their last eight games.

Things may not be that straightforward for the hosts though, as the Staggies ran out 3-0 victors in the last meeting between the pair, suggesting an intriguing clash could unfold at Fir Park on Tuesday night.

Team news

Adam Montgomery, Jonathan Obika and Callum Slattery are all set to miss out again for the hosts, but, with no fresh injury concerns, Stuart Kettlewell could name an unchanged side from the one that earned a vital point against Kilmarnock.

Ross Callachan is the only confirmed absentee for County, although Ryan Leak, Dylan Smith and Scott Allardice are all doubts.

Both teams to score @ 4/5

There is just one place and three points separating these sides in the Scottish Premiership table, which suggests this could be a closely-fought encounter.

'Well are the more in-form of the pair having won three of their last five matches and going unbeaten in that run, but their defence has looked far from solid in that sequence and they could fail to keep their visitors quiet.

They conceded to League One minnows Alloa Athletic in a recent cup tie and, given that both teams have scored in their last five matches as well as in 11 of their last 13 home games, County should have enough to find the net at Fir Park.

The Staggies have been poor recently, putting together an eight-match winless run, but they beat Motherwell 3-0 prior to that sequence and could put in an improved performance against a side they know they can get at.

#PickYourPunt - Theo Bair to score anytime, Motherwell over 5.5 corners, Ross County over 19.5 booking points @ 4/1

Using our #PickYourPunt feature you can combine three markets for a tasty looking 4/1 shot.

The first part of the bet requires Motherwell’s in-form forward Theo Bair to find the net, which he should have no issue in doing having netted five times in his last four league appearances - scoring at least one in each game.

Buoyed by the home crowd at Fir Park and motivated following their defeat to the Staggies earlier in the campaign, Motherwell will look to dominate proceedings and could rack up a solid amount of corners as a result.

They have won six in each of their last two matches - against stronger opposition too - and should at least match that number against Ross County.

The Staggies are not on a good run of late and have shown frustration on the pitch as a result, receiving at least two yellow cards in four of their last five league matches, with that tally expected to be matched at Fir Park.

Match Odds

Given their strong form, it is unsurprising to see Motherwell are 21/20 favourites for this clash, with the draw 23/10 and Ross County 5/2.

Both teams finding the net looks likely and can be backed at 4/5, with over 2.5 goals also a real possibility and that outcome is available at 1/1.
