Colombia produced an upset to get the better of Germany in their second group game and put themselves on the brink of passage to the knockout stages after winning their opening two matches, they face Morocco in this final match, who can also reach the round of 16 after beating South Korea 1-0 last time out.

Colombia can be backed at 4/9 for the victory, while Morocco are 11/2 outsiders, the draw is available at 11/4.

Morocco Women vs Colombia Women Tips

  • Over 2.5 goals @ 6/5
  • Linda Caicedo to score at anytime @ 11/4

Team news

Colombia’s Jorelyn Carabali is a doubt after being stretchered off late on in their win over Germany and she may be replaced by Monica Ramos in central defence.

Leicy Santos will be pushing for a start after dropping to the bench in the last match.

Meanwhile, Morocco manager Reynald Pedros could well name an unchanged side from the one which beat South Korea last time out.

Over 2.5 goals @ 6/5

Colombia’s 2-1 win over Germany last time out has put them in pole position to top Group H, needing just a point from this clash against Morocco to progress through to the knockout stage as winners of their section.

However, this is no dead rubber for Morocco either, who need to better Germany’s result against South Korea if they are to pip them to a spot in the top two.

They would need an eight-goal swing on goal difference to overtake Colombia so that looks unlikely. However, their need to better Germany’s result means they may have to go for it at some point and could leave themselves open at the back as a result.

Colombia have netted five times in their last three matches so could take advantage of the Lionesses of Atlas’ defence if they leave themselves exposed on the counter-attack, so take there to be over 2.5 goals in this one.

Linda Caicedo to score at anytime @ 11/4

One of the young players to light up this year’s Women’s World Cup has been Linda Caicedo, who scored a wonderful solo goal against Germany.

She also netted in their opening win over South Korea and looks a big price to repeat the trick again here.

Caicedo has now netted seven times for her national team and the Real Madrid forward could get plenty of opportunities against a Morocco defence that conceded six times against Germany.

Back Caicedo to continue her impressive campaign with a goal in this match-up.
