AC Milan are hoping to continue some fantastic form in Sunday night’s visit to Monza. The Rossoneri have been on a great run in Serie A of late, but they can’t seem to catch city rivals Inter.

Milan are hoping to juggle their push for a top-four finish with a good Europa League run, but will need to adjust after playing on Thursday night in Europe.

Monza vs AC Milan Tips

  • AC Milan to win @ 4/5
  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek to score @ 12/5

Team news

Monza head into this game without the suspended Papu Gomez, while they are without injured duo Gianluca Caprari and Samuele Vignato.

AC Milan are hoping to have Rafael Leao fit after he went off injured in midweek. The Rossoneri will be without Fikayo Tomori and Davide Calabria at the back.

AC Milan to win @ 4/5

Milan make the short trip north to local rivals Monza, which is a boost for a side who were at home in the Europa League on Thursday. The Rossoneri beat Rennes 3-0 to make it eight wins from their last 10 in all competitions.

The visitors have won six of their last seven Serie A games, but they sit 11 points shy of league leaders Inter Milan. The Scudetto appears to be beyond Stefano Pioli’s men, but last season’s run to the Champions League semis should give them hope of a deep Europa League run.

The Rossoneri went into the weekend 10 points clear of the European scrap behind them, and that's a gap they’ll want to maintain. They should be more than capable of doing that against a Monza team who have won just once across their last five games.

The visitors have scored at least twice in each of their last seven Serie A away trips and that high-scoring form can help them to a win on Sunday. Monza have a solid scoring record at home with 12 goals in 12 games, but that’s not likely to be enough to match a Milan side in flying form. Back an away win, with a 2-1 Milan victory an appealing correct-score option at 7/1.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek to score @ 12/5

Former Chelsea man Ruben Loftus-Cheek has had a solid season in Italy, but he’s added goals to his game of late. During his best season for the Blues the England midfielder was a brilliant scorer from midfield, and he seems to be finally recapturing that form.

Loftus-Cheek scored a brace against Rennes in the Europa League earlier this week and he has now scored five goals across his last five games for Milan. The midfielder has scored seven goals in total this term and over half of those have come in a number 10 role, the position he’s expected to start in on Sunday.
