Millwall started the season with successive defeats but they collected four points from their last two matches before the international break and can continue their revival with a victory over Luton in the capital.

Dropping back down to the Championship has been a tougher-than-expected experience for Luton, who remain winless with just one point on the board.

The Hatters have a total XG (expected goals) of 6.36 which is the sixth highest in the division but they have scored just one goal and have looked vulnerable in defence.

Rob Edwards’s side should improve at some point but they appeared short of confidence last time out when losing 2-1 at home to QPR.

Luton have struggled in both penalty boxes and will not get an easy ride against Millwall, who seem to be improving with every game.

The Lions were dominant 3-0 winners at home to Sheffield Wednesday last time out and they look overpriced to collect another three points.

Millwall have made some smart moves in the transfer window including the loan acquisition of striker Josh Coburn from Middlesbrough.

The Lions ran riot against the Owls but they might have to settle for a lower-scoring success over Luton, who have a competitive squad and should climb the table in the not-too-distant future.

Both teams will be preparing for a physical battle and there could be a smattering of cautions, including one for feisty Millwall midfielder George Saville, who was carded 11 times last season.
