Millwall welcome Birmingham City to The Den on Saturday (15:00) for a huge six-pointer in the Championship relegation battle. The Lions are unbeaten in their last three matches since Neil Harris returned to the dugout, while Birmingham picked up a big point on the road at Hull City in midweek.

Both these teams are hovering just above the drop zone with Millwall two points clear and Birmingham just one. With a lot of fixtures to come that pit the teams towards the bottom against one another, the outcome here could be vital come May for either side. Below are our Millwall vs Birmingham predictions, along with team news and match odds on offer.

Millwall vs Birmingham Betting Tips

  • Draw @ 11/5
  • Jay Stansfield to score anytime @ 11/4

Match Odds

Millwall are 5/4 to pick up the three points in this clash. Birmingham can be backed at 23/10, while the draw is on offer at 11/5. Both teams to score is priced at 5/6 and over 2.5 goals is 11/10.

Zian Flemming has scored eight goals in all competitions for Millwall this season and he is valued at 21/10 to score anytime here.

Team News

Millwall remain without the services of forwards Tom Bradshaw and Kevin Nisbet, with the former being ruled out for the rest of the season.

Birmingham are without midfielder Alfie Chang and midfielder/defender Krystian Bielik due to injury. Dion Sanderson will serve the second game of his three-match suspension against the Lions.

Draw @ 11/5

This year's Championship relegation battle is the craziest we have seen in years. Seven points separate 13th from 23rd, and with 10 games left to go, the table could change a lot in the coming weeks.

With Millwall and Birmingham both being at risk right now, this clash is huge for both of them. A few weeks ago, the Lions looked like they were a lost cause under Joe Edwards. They were in free fall. Reuniting with former boss Harris has given them a glimmer of hope as they are unbeaten in their last three, which included a victory over high-flying Southampton.

As for the Blues, they turned in an impressive second-half display against Hull to pick up a point last time out, but they will feel aggrieved after the Tigers' opener was shown to be a blatant hand ball by Ozan Tufan.

Key players were rested or given cameos in the game with the bigger picture being this weekend's six-pointer in London, so a few of the players will be raring to go here.

With so much on the line for both clubs and a decent amount of quality within both their ranks, we think that they will end up cancelling each other out at The Den. A point won't be the most ideal outcome for either of them but it could certainly aid their respective survival bids.

Draw at 11/5

Birmingham's top scorer reached nine league goals for the campaign last weekend against Southampton with another sumptuous strike. Many Blues fans have been quick to point out how much they've lacked such a clinical finisher since Che Adams' incredible 22-goal haul for them in 2018-19.

He was one of the players rested at Hull but did make an appearance in the second half, playing a valuable role in his side's fight back to salvage a point. He plays with great confidence which is evident in the goals that he has scored this year.

Stansfield knows just how important this weekend's game is for his team and he knows that everyone looks to his goalscoring abilities for inspiration. We fancy him to deliver the goods for Birmingham once again on Saturday.
