Two giants clash in Italy this Saturday at 5pm as AC Milan host Lazio at San Siro. The home side could take top spot off their closest rivals with three points, while Lazio are desperate for a win after a slow start.

Milan vs Lazio Tips

AC Milan to win at 4/5

Stefano Pioli’s side have bounced back well after that dismal derby day performance against Inter. That 5-1 defeat took the wind out of their sails but since then, they’ve beaten Verona and Cagliari in Serie A. Now back level on points at the top of the table, a win over Lazio will help them maintain their title charge.

A home win is more than backable, even at 4/5. Milan are a strong side yet again this term, with quality throughout their squad. In particular, they look exciting going forward and in midfield, and given Lazio are out of form, I’d expect Pioli to mastermind another win.

For Lazio, things have taken a slight upturn in recent weeks but they are still underperforming. They bea Torino 2-0 last time out, but drew 1-1 with Monza and lost to Juventus. Their best recent result came in the Champions League, as they held Atletico Madrid to a 1-1 draw.

The away side come here more in hope than expectation and after a tough run, could be staring at another defeat. Milan’s title challenge depends on them winning these types of fixtures.

Olivier Giroud to score anytime at 7/5

Milan rotated in their win over Cagliari in midweek and Giroud was allowed to rest on the bench for the full 90 minutes. That may prove to be a masterstroke from Pioli in the long run as the 36-year-old is such a pivotal force of Milan’s attack.

Expect him and Rafael Leao to come back into the front line for the weekend’s clash, and with four goals to his name already, expect Giroud to be on the hunt for more. He is one of the finest finishers in Italy, and is also their penalty taker which is a key factor in this pick. Leao is priced at 2/1 anytime if you fancy going for the exciting winger instead.
