Toast is on loyal Spurs fan who won a grand at Betfred

Lifelong Spurs fan Michael Tilley won £1,000 after successfully backing his team to win four nil at fast-fading Manchester City
He had a tenner on his heroes at 100/1 at his local Betfred shop in Kingsley Park Terrace in Northampton. London-born Michael, a Tottenham fan since he was in short pants who has Jimmy Greaves as his all-time favourite player, was one of only thirty Betfred customers who opted for the unceremonious City drubbing.
But Michael, aged 66, reckons Pep Guardiola's team will overcome their slump in form, win at Anfield against Liverpool on Sunday - and go on and retain the Premier League title!
Betfred regular Michael said: "I often go for 4-0 for us but it doesn't often come in; although it happened once before a few years back at 66/1. To get 100/1 on us winning 4-0 at the Etihad was too good a chance to miss.
"To pocket a grand from a tenner was pretty special. I will be celebrating with a few friends down the pub at the weekend ... and I will probably be getting everyone a couple of extra drinks, you never know!"
Betfred boss Fred Done said: "We also had a customer in Salford who won £75 from just 50p on Tuesday when he went for City to draw 3-3 against Feyenoord in the Champions League, with Erling Haaland getting the opener. It's proving tough for Blues fans at the moment although if anyone is going to turn it around it will be Guardiola. Very interesting indeed that Michael believes City will retain the title, starting with three points at Anfield on Sunday - which is 9/4 with us."
Big Winners, with Betfred Insights.
