Manchester United and West Ham United will both look to continue their push for European football when the sides clash at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon (14:00).

United needed a stoppage-time winner from Kobbie Mainoo to edge past Wolves in midweek, while the Hammers were held to a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth last time out.

Man Utd vs West Ham Prediction

  • Man Utd to win and both teams to score @ 2/1
  • Rasmus Hojlund to score anytime @ 7/5

Team News

United are without Tyrell Malacia and Anthony Martial, while there are also doubts over Victor Lindelof, Lisandro Martinez, Mason Mount and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, Sofyan Amrabat could return to the matchday squad after Morocco's elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations.

West Ham, meanwhile, will be missing Michail Antonio and Lucas Paqueta, but Vladimir Coufal will be welcomed back from suspension.

Match Odds

Man Utd are favourites for this game at 8/13, and there's plenty of value in backing the Hammers at 4/1, with the draw currently priced up at 16/5.

Over 2.5 goals can be backed at 4/7, while Edson Alvarez is favourite to be shown at a card at 6/4.

United will have been kicking themselves if they'd dropped points against Wolves, as they should have been out of sight by half time. Thankfully, Kobbie Mainoo ensured that wouldn't be the case after the teenager scored in the final moments at Molineux to hand United a vital three points.

Does that victory paper over the cracks? Potentially, but Erik ten Hag's men are taking on a West Ham United side who are winless in their last four.

United and clean sheets don't go hand-in-hand, so I'm expecting goals at both ends at Old Trafford on Sunday, but I think the Red Devils can extend West Ham's winless run here.

Rasmus Hojlund to score anytime @ 7/5

The Denmark international struggled to hit the ground running when he first arrived from Atlanta, but United's no.11 looks to have settled into his role up front in recent weeks.

Hojlund has scored three in his last three appearances in the Premier League, and also got on the scoresheet in United's FA Cup win against Newport County to take his tally to nine for the season.

Attack appears to be United’s best form of defence at the moment, and the Hammers have conceded in each of their last four games.
