Man United vs Twente Prediction: Rashford to make his point

Manchester United will be looking to respond to their goalless draw at Crystal Palace at the weekend when they welcome FC Twente to Old Trafford in the Europa League on Wednesday (20:00, TNT Sports 1). The Red Devils were excellent in the first half of that game and should've scored several times, before being pegged back in the second 45.
Twente sit fourth in the Eredivisie having won three of their opening six matches, including their last two outings, so they will head to Manchester with some confidence. Read on for my Man United vs Twente prediction, featuring match odds and team news.
Man United vs Twente Betting Tips
Man United are 2/7 to win this encounter, which gives them a theoretical chance of 77.8%. Twente are valued at 9/1 to come away with the three points, giving them an implied probability of 10%. The draw is on offer at 9/2 (18.2%).
Both teams to score can be backed at 5/6, while over 2.5 goals is available at 1/2.
Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Christian Eriksen all scored braces in United's last match at Old Trafford (a 7-0 victory over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup), and they are 8/5, 7/5 and 4/1 respectively to score anytime on Wednesday.
Twente attacking midfielder Sem Steijn is the leading marksman in the Eredivisie with six goals in as many games this season. He is priced at 18/5 to find the back of the net in this contest.
Team News
Summer signing Leny Yoro remains sidelined for Man United, as is full-back Luke Shaw, who has been plagued with injuries throughout his Red Devils career. Fellow left-back Tyrell Malacia and centre-back Victor Lindelof have returned to training, but it is believed that this game will come too soon for both to be back in squad contention.
Erik ten Hag's side have kept three clean sheets in a row across all competitions but he could opt to make changes to his back line against Twente. Harry Maguire could come in for Matthijs de Ligt or Lisandro Martinez.
In midfield, Manuel Ugarte will be pushing for a return to the starting XI after making his full debut against Barnsley, and the Uruguayan could replace either Kobbie Mainoo or Eriksen. Although Brazilian Casemiro will also be hoping for a recall to the starting lineup.
Rashford was dropped to the bench at Palace despite scoring three in the two games prior, which led to much speculation surrounding Ten Hag's decision. He will be hoping to rejoin the attack, and he could perhaps take Amad Diallo's spot which would result in Garnacho moving across to the right side of midfield.
Joshua Zirkzee looks set to continue up top as Rasmus Hojlund continues to get up to speed after a recent spell on the sidelines.
For Twente, they are still without key figure Michal Sadilek as he recovers from a laceration in his leg following a freak bike accident earlier in the summer. He has been joined by Youne Taha in the treatment room after breaking his leg against PEC Zwolle a week ago.
Free-scoring Steijn is set to operate in the number 10 role, just behind former Rangers forward Sam Lammers.
Man United and both teams to score @ 7/4
One thing Ten Hag certainly needs to improve on if he is to be the man to return the good times to Old Trafford is his decision making. Once again there were some perplexing choices made at Palace on Sunday and his side looked nowhere near as good in the second half as they did in the first.
At least they have shown they can create chances, and they will be expected to get a lot on Wednesday with them being back at home, the attacking stars just need to be ruthless with the opportunities they do get.
I think they will be determined to respond to the weekend's setback and that's why I believe backing United to win and both teams to score is a sensible selection for this match.
United have far greater quality in the final third than their Dutch visitors and they should make this count to get their Europa League campaign off to a flying start. Rashford will have a point to prove if he does return to the starting XI and he will want to keep his recent form going as he looks to put last year's poor returns behind him.
The hosts have kept three consecutive clean sheets but I think that run will come to an end here. Twente are going well in the Eredivisie and they have 12 goals in six outings, averaging at two per game.
Steijn is the danger man for them and he will want his excellent start to the season to translate onto the European stage. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get on the scoresheet. Twente can put up a fight against the Red Devils, but United should have more than enough to come away with the three points.

Marcus Rashford anytime goalscorer @ 7/5
One player I am confident in finding the back of the net in this clash is Rashford. Ten Hag said he was dropped for rotation purposes, which made it a more baffling decision given the form the attacker was in.
After suffering a dent in his momentum, he will want to ensure that doesn't happen again and he will be desperate to cement his place in the starting XI and I think he will look to grasp an opportunity here with both hands.
We all know that we can get a range of Rashford performances but he is a player who feeds off his own form and confidence. He will have given himself a much-needed boost with the three goals he got in recent games and he will want to keep it going as he looks to make amends for last year's disappointing figures.
The only question mark here is whether he returns to the lineup or comes on from the bench, Either way, I'm still confident in this selection because no matter what, the winger will want to show Ten Hag that he is not a player he can afford to drop.
