Eight-time FA Cup winners Manchester United may have home advantage on Sunday, but they've lost two of their last four outings, although they did manage to return to winning ways against Everton last weekend.

Liverpool, who have also lifted the FA Cup on eight occasions, have been irresistible in recent weeks despite Manchester City halting their seven-game winning streak last Sunday. The Reds bounced back from that draw by hammering Sparta Prague to reach the Europa League quarter-finals.

Team News

Erik ten Hag has been dealing with a plethora of injuries all season, but he could be handed a boost this weekend with the potential return of Rasmus Hojlund. Mason Mount has also returned to first-team training, but this match could come too soon for him.

Orari Forson remains a doubt, while Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Lisandro Martinez are still recovering from their respective injuries.

As for Liverpool, Bobby Clark had to be substituted in the second half against Sparta Prague with an apparent ankle issue, while Ibrahima Konate remains out with a thigh problem.

Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota, Ben Doak, Joel Matip, Alisson Becker, Curtis Jones and Trent Alexander-Arnold ar also still missing for the visitors.

Match Odds

With this being a cup tie, 90-minute betting will apply.

United are underdogs for Sunday's encounter at 11/4 and those odds for the home win implies that Ten Hag's men have a 26.7% chance of advancing to the semi-finals. Liverpool are odds-on favourites at 4/5, or a 55.6% chance to book their spot in the last four.

The draw can be backed at 16/5 while both teams to find the net is priced up at 4/9.

Liverpool to win

Everything Liverpool touch turns to gold at the minute.

They've already won one trophy with Carabao Cup, they've cruised into the quarter-finals of the Europa League and currently sit joint-top of the Premier League.

Manchester United did manage to get a goalless draw at Anfield just before Christmas but there'll be more onus on the Red Devils to attack here, with them being the home side. Also, that was somewhat of a freakish result, as Liverpool somehow drew a blank from 34 efforts on goal.

Darwin Nunez to score anytime

Only Erling Haaland can better Darwin Nunez's 86 efforts on goal this season.

In fact, the Uruguay international had another six attempts during the Europa League win on Thursday, and he's averaging a shot every 18 minutes in the league.

The 24-year-old has 17 goals across all competitions so far this season, and only Sheffield United have conceded more than Manchester United's 89 efforts at goal in the last four Premier League games, so he's bound to get chances here.

Over 1.5 goals

As mentioned above, United have struggled to contain opposing attacks in recent weeks, and have certainly rode their luck defensively.

Liverpool can't stop scoring at the minute, and they've racked up 85 efforts on goal in the past four matches.

Though beating Everton last week, Erik ten Hag's side still let up 23 shots against a side who've scored one away goal in 2024, so I'm predicting plenty of goals at the Theatre of Dreams on Sunday.
