It’s near enough impossible to predict anything other than an emphatic home win here.

Pep Guardiola’s side have picked up where they left off last season and have been perfect so far this term – apart from the Community Shield.

Manchester City remained unbeaten through their 2022/23 Champions League winning campaign (W8 D5) and the Citizens boast a phenomenal W24-D2-L1 return in continental club clashes at their Etihad base over the past five years.

Crvena Zvezda have failed to score in each of their last four matches in this competition, and have been beaten in each of their last six UCL away days – scoring only twice and shipping 22 strikes.

The Serbian giants have lost heavily to Premier League opposition on two occasions during that same period (4-0 to Liverpool in 2018 and 5-0 to Spurs in 2019).

Erling Haaland to score a hat-trick

The former Borussia Dortmund striker has scored seven goals in as many appearances so far this season, and his goal record in general since joining City is near-enough impeccable.

On the way to City’s European triumph last season, Haaland scored 12 goals in 11 appearances including braces against Sevilla and Copenhagen, as well as netting five against Leipzig.
