Manchester City welcome Chelsea to the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening (17:30), with the Cityzens hoping to extend their winning run in the top-flight to seven games.

These two sides played out a thriller earlier in the season in a dramatic 4-4 encounter at Stamford Bridge, and we are all hoping that we can be in for another classic here.

We have thrown together an 8/1 to bet builder for you to consider ahead of this clash.

Man City vs Chelsea Bet Builder Tips

  • Man City to win
  • Erling Haaland to score anytime
  • Cole Palmer to score anytime
  • Over 3.5 goals

Man City to win

Pep Guardiola's side are hitting their stride in the Premier League, just like they did last year to retain their title against Arsenal. They went on a phenomenal 12-game winning run to help them do so and they are halfway there this term.

With key figures Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne back in action, as well as an in-form Phil Foden, City are going to be really difficult to stop as they aim to become the first team in Premier League history to win four consecutive titles.

Chelsea earned a surprising point against them in the reverse fixture and they did win in their last outing against Crystal Palace, but they look set to be in for another miserable afternoon on Saturday.

Erling Haaland to score anytime

After scoring a brace against Everton last weekend, the Norwegian is back to his confident, free-scoring self after returning from an ankle injury. Haaland scored a brace against Chelsea back in November and we think he can definitely hurt the Blues again on home soil.

With his side on this excellent winning run, they are going to dictate the ball and will undoubtedly create plenty of chances, especially if De Bruyne and Foden are on the pitch. And Haaland will likely benefit from their service and apply more pressure on Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Cole Palmer to score anytime

This selection has been made because not only has Cole Palmer been Chelsea's best player this season with 10 goals and six assists in the league, but this is also his first return to the Etihad since leaving City in the summer, so there is a sense of football script writing to consider.

How often do we see former players come back to haunt their former sides? Palmer has already done that this season, too. His 95th minute penalty last time out is what secured a vital point for Chelsea while denying City what could prove to be a massive three points come the end of the season.

We fancy him to cause some more mischief for the hosts this weekend.

Over 3.5 goals

While we think that City will have too much for their London counterparts on this occasion, Chelsea can certainly play their part in another televised classic this season.

Palmer will want to show Guardiola what he's missing for a second time, Conor Gallagher has found his scoring boots with his first three goals of the campaign coming in his last two appearances, while Enzo Fernandez has also had an eye for goal in recent weeks.

Combined with Haaland, Foden and De Bruyne's goal threat, we could be in for another box office game of football.

It is wishful thinking to be given another eight-goal thriller between these two sides but we are confident that they can deliver at least half that amount when they square up at the Etihad this weekend.
