Both teams to score

Luton have been impressive in recent weeks, having pulled themselves out of the relegation zone at Everton’s expense.

The Hatters have been particularly strong at home and have netted in all but one of their 12 Premier League matches at Kenilworth Road so far.

Both teams have found the net in six of their last eight league matches and the same is fancied against a Man Utd team that has seen both teams find the net in four of their last five games in all competitions.

Man Utd to win

United have not been at their best this season but things have taken a more positive turn in 2024.

Erik ten Hag’s men are aiming for a fifth win in a row in all competitions when they visit Kenilworth Road and they have rediscovered their goal scoring touch, having netted at least twice in their last six outings.

That attacking output had been sorely missing before that and it is noticeable that the Red Devils are the lowest scorers in the top half of the table.

Nevertheless things seem to be clicking for the visitors and they should be able to get the better of a Luton team that have lost 13 of their 23 league games so far.

Carlton Morris to score

Carlton Morris has been a big player for Luton this season and looks a value selection to get on the scoresheet in this one.

The forward has six goals in the league and leads his team in both shots and shots on target with 38 and 13 respectively.

The 28-year-old is also the Hatters’ designated penalty taker so expect him to be the likeliest route to goal for the home team in what should be an entertaining affair.

Albert Sambi Lokonga to be shown a card

A major factor in Luton’s improved performances this season has been the solid midfield base of Ross Barkley and Albert Sambi Lokonga that they have been able to rely upon in recent outings.

Lokonga has been in good form recently but his combative nature means he puts in plenty of tackles.

The 24-year-old has already been booked two times in nine Premier League starts and looks a strong candidate for a yellow in this game.
