Luton vs Sheff Utd Prediction: Goals galore expected at Kenilworth Road

Saturday's contest between Luton Town and Sheffield United has the hallmarks of a Premier League six-pointer, and it promises to be an entertaining affair at Kenilworth Road.

Rob Edwards' side are one point above the drop zone, but they have a game in hand over those in the bottom three, including the Blades, who remain rock bottom of the league table.

Chris Wilder's return to Bramall Lane was supposed to give the Sheffield United players a lift but results have not improved as of yet and they are 11 points from safety with a -40 goal difference.

Edwards will be without Marvelous Nakamba and Tom Lockyer for the foreseeable future but defender Mads Andersen may be able to return to the bench, at the very least, after recovering from a calf injury.

Sheffield United striker Rhian Brewster will be available again after serving a suspension, while fellow forward Oli McBurnie will hope to return from the calf injury that forced him to miss the 5-0 defeat to Aston Villa.

Max Lowe remains doubtful, but Ivo Grbic, Chris Basham, John Egan, George Baldock and Daniel Jebbison are all confirmed absentee.

It is a rarity, but Luton are odds on to win this weekend, with the Hatters 8/11 to collect all three points at home. The draw is 3/1, while Sheffield United are 18/5 to win on their travels.

A lively game is expected, with over 2.5 goals 8/11, while Luton striker Elijah Adebayo is the favourite to score anytime at 13/10, and he is closely followed by teammate Carlton Morris, who is 7/4 to find the net within 90 minutes.

Luton scored just 10 times in their first 12 Premier League matches, but Edwards' men have found a rhythm in front of goal of late, netting in their last 10 games in the league and notching 22 goals across that period.

They welcome a Sheffield United side to town who have lost four games already this season by five or more goals, highlighting their major frailties at the back.

The previous meeting between the pair finished 3-2 to Luton, and this game should follow a similar pattern with plenty of goals expected at Kenilworth Road - with the hosts who have netted four times in each of their last two matches, expected to do the majority of the scoring.
