There's a full raft of Premier League fixtures on Amazon Prime this midweek and on Tuesday night there's a cracking looking game taking place at Kenilworth Road (20:00), as Luton Town host table-toppers Arsenal. We've previewed this one and given you our betting predictions for the occasion.

Luton vs Arsenal Betting Tips

  • Arsenal to win to nil - 10/11
  • Gabriel Jesus to score first - 7/2

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal side solidified their grip at the top of the Premier League table over the weekend, scoring two early goals and then hanging on late, to pick up three much needed points against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Meanwhile, the reigning champions Manchester City could only manage a point, after a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Etihad which saw them slip into third place behind Liverpool, who themselves had an absolute barnburner of a 4-3 win over Fulham.

All this means that the Gunners are now two points clear, as we enter the midweek Amazon Primefest and they will be desperate to extend that lead on Tuesday evening.

The short trip north up the M1 awaits the leaders, where a white-hot Kenilworth Road will be in full voice in anticipation of their visit.

Luton have been in better form of late, picking up their first ever Premier League home win against Crystal Palace, as well as good points against Forest and Liverpool. However, the Hatters crashed back to earth on Saturday, losing 3-1 to a strong Brentford side and picking up several debilitating injuries in the process.

With the current barren nature of the squad, anything they can gain on Tuesday night would be an absolute bonus and provide some more impetus towards a potential second season in the top flight.

Team news

Rob Edwards has as many as nine of his first team squad unavailable for the visit of the Gunners, after centre-backs Tom Lockyear and Teden Mengi were added to the injury list, during the loss to the Bees. He may now be tempted by a change in formation, given the personnel at his disposal.

Arteta is still without the likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Jurrien Timber, Fabio Vieira and Thomas Partey, who could also be joined by right back Takehiro Tomiyasu, who came off with a knock late on against Wolves.

Match odds

Arsenal are huge 1/5 favourites to pick up the three points and extend their lead at the top of the table. Luton are a 12/1 outsider to win back-to-back games at home, whilst the draw is priced at 11/2 at the time of writing.

This match screams goals, with over 2.5 at just 4/9 and over 3.5 as short as 11/10. Both teams to score is priced at evens, with NO the favourite at 8/11.

Arsenal to win to nil - 10/11

Arsenal may have scraped over the line against Wolves on Saturday but prior to that had kept clean sheets in four of their last five games.

Luton are down to the bare bones here and are not on the same level as Saturday's opponents for Arteta's side.

If Arsenal get early goals here this could be a bit of a whooping and I think they can rack up another clean sheet in the process.

Gabriel Jesus to score first - 7/2

The 26-year-old has returned back to fitness at just the right time for the Gunners, ahead of the famously congested Christmas period.

Jesus has only played three games since his return to the side but has already chipped in with a goal and an assist, in the 6-0 rout of Lens.

The hard-working striker has a superb engine and is now looking back to something approaching his best, which is a worrying sign for Luton.

Betfred are also running their famed Double Delight / Hat-Trick Heaven offer on this match, meaning that if the Brazilian scores first and then nets again, you will be paid at double the odds (7/1). If he grabs a hat-trick, you will be paid out at a whopping 21/2!
