We are 22 games into the Scottish Premiership season and Livingston’s Tuesday night clash (KO, 19:45) with Ross County already looks a must-win game for David Martindale’s men.

Livi would fall nine points behind County if they were to lose at Almondvale and it would look a near-impossible task for them to avoid finishing bottom of the SPL table.

Martindale’s men can close the gap to three points with a victory against their nearest rivals in the standings, and at this stage, it’s looking like nothing other than maximum will do for the West Lothian side.

Livingston vs Ross County Betting Tips:

Team News

Cristian Montero and Jack Hamilton are unlikely to feature for the home side.

Ross County have Ben Paton, Dylan Smith, Ross Callachan, Scott Allardice and Ryan Leak all struggling with injuries.

Match Odds

Livingston are the favourites at 13/10 to claim the three points on home soil, with the Staggies at 11/5 to head back the Highlands with a victory.

A stalemate on Tuesday night is available at 2/1.

Livingston to win @ 13/10

Livingston and Ross County occupy the bottom two places in the Scottish Premiership table and usually you would expect the draw to be a big runner in a game between two struggling sides.

However, Livi would remain six points behind their nearest rivals, and nine points off St Johnstone, if the spoils were shared and that has to take a stalemate out of the equation for Martindale’s men.

It’s 12 defeats in 15 matches for Livingston and no win in 14 Scottish Premiership matches for the West Lothian side. That awful record doesn’t inspire confidence and a 4-1 defeat to Dundee last time out is also a worry.

However, Martindale’s men conceded four goals to a Dundee side that had only five shots in the entire game, and they won the shot and corner count and bossed the ball against the Dee.

Livingston have won the shot count in Almondvale games against Aberdeen, Motherwell, St Johnstone and Hibs this season, and perhaps with a little more good fortune, Livi would have collected more points.

A home game against a Ross County side that have won only once on the road in the Scottish top-flight this season looks a golden opportunity, and even more so, when you consider County were run ragged at Celtic Park just three days ago.

At 13/10, Livingston look a bet to snap their poor run.

Livingston to beat Ross County at 13-10

Over 2.5 goals @ 6/4

There have been 46 goals in County’s 13 all-competition away matches this season and all of Livingston’s last four games have bust the 2.5-goal mark.

These are two struggling teams and there is a lot of pressure on the match, and although Livingston are unlikely to take a gung-ho approach, this is a game that Livin pretty much have to win and that is likely to see Martindale’s men go on the front foot.

There should be plenty of goalmouth action at Almondvale and taking over 2.5 goals looks the bet.

Over 2.5 goals in Livingston vs Ross County at 6-4
