Liverpool vs Arsenal Bet Builder Tips: Gunners to bag seismic win

The Premier League offers up a cracking clash on Saturday night as Liverpool host Arsenal at Anfield. After their disappointing stalemate with Manchester United, Jurgen Klopp’s men will be desperate to get back to winning ways.

Arsenal to win

Liverpool’s performance against Manchester United was seriously concerning. They lacked any sort of rhythm against a tepid United outfit and couldn’t even string three passes together at one point during the first half. The away side could and probably should have won the game, with Alejandro Garnacho and Ramsus Hojlund squandering the best chances of the game. 

It leads me to believe that Arsenal will be able to take advantage of a Liverpool team that has failed to impress, in terms of performances, this month. The Gunners beat Brighton 2-0 last time out and look, at this stage of the season, far more likely to win the title than Liverpool.

Although Liverpool failed to impress against United, I believe they will get on the scoresheet here. The atmosphere was completely lacking last time out as fans turned up almost in the expectation they would win comfortably, after the 7-0 success last term. I expect this encounter to be a far more open affair, with chances at both ends. 

Given Liverpool’s quality in attacking areas, they can find the net, but in a thrilling match-up, I think Arsenal will have too much for them when they strike on the counter-attack. This should be a Christmas cracker. 

Martin Odegaard to score

Arsenal’s captain has been influential again this season, scoring seven goals so far. Only Bukayo Saka with eight can beat that total from the club this season, while it seems like Odegaard relishes these big occasions more than his English compatriot. If we believe Arsenal will find the net at least twice, I’m happy to back Odegaard to score one of these goals. 

Gabriel Jesus to be carded

Gabriel Jesus has returned to the Arsenal XI with great effect in recent weeks, but the Brazilian is also susceptible to picking up cards. He’s already got four this season, despite playing far fewer matches than his colleagues, and away at Anfield is likely to commit a couple of silly fouls as he tries to put pressure on the Liverpool centre-backs. 

As a result, adding him to get booked to our bet builder leaves us with a decent price of 22/1.
