Liverpool’s Premier League title tilt has prematurely ended over the last few weeks, and although it is not mathematically out of reach yet, it would take two monumental collapses from Arsenal and Manchester City for the Reds to be crowned champions.

So Jurgen Klopp will not get his perfect finale, and his side also out of the Europa League at the hands of Atalanta, this season has somewhat petered out. Next up for his side, who will at least be playing Champions League football next season comes the visit of Tottenham Hotspur, a team who now look like they will not be playing in Europe’s premier competition next term, after a Monday night defeat to Chelsea.

This one kick-offs at 16:30 live on Sky Sports and we have turned to former England and Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson to share his thoughts ahead of Sunday's clash. He’s given us three bet builder tips, using Betfred's #PickYourPunt feature and this selection has now been boosted from 7/2 to 9/2.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Bet Builder Tips

  • BTTS
  • Mohamed Salah to score
  • Cristian Romero to be carded

#PickYourPunt pays 9/2

BTTS

This one is the most obvious selection for this match. Even though the result is difficult to nail between this out-of-form duo, we should see goals at both ends. Liverpool are the third-highest Premier League goalscorers this term, and Spurs’ matches contain an average of 3.56 goals-per-game.

If you remember the reverse fixture, Tottenham launched an epic comeback from 3-0 down on home soil to level the scores, before Diogo Jota scored a dramatic injury-time winner. I think we could see another open game at Anfield between these two.

From a stats point of view, 72% of Tottenham’s matches have ended with both teams on the scoresheet while Liverpool’s success rate for BTTS is currently 69% - placing both teams in the top four for BTTS in the Premier League. We should be in for a treat on Sunday afternoon.

Mohamed Salah to score

With his little spat with Jurgen Klopp now behind him, I think Salah will have something to prove in front of the Liverpool fans. He’s only managed two goals in his last eight Premier League appearances and that poor run of form can’t go on much longer for a player of his quality.

Against a Spurs team that came undone again on Monday night and are now without a clean sheet in their last seven matches. I think Salah will be able to trouble this shaky Tottenham backline, and will want to show he is fully behind his manager - for the final three games of his tenure.

Cristian Romero to be carded

Romero has actually improved his disciplinary record this season, but he is still always at risk of a yellow card. He has now picked up six for the campaign, as well as one red card, and was booked in the derby day defeat to Arsenal. With the way that Liverpool play, and their pace on the counter-attack, I think Romero is the most likely player to pick up a booking on Sunday.

The Argentine is a top quality defender, but I think the likes of Salah and Darwin Nunez will cause him too many problems to avoid the referee’s notebook.
