Leicester City have opened up an 11-point gap at the top of the Championship standings over recent weeks and they will be aiming to further consolidate that position when they host struggling Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday.

It feels like a case of when and not if the Foxes secure a return to the Premier League at the first time of asking, with three league victories on the spin having further cemented their place at the summit.

Enzo Maresca will expect his side to extend that winning streak to four games when Sheff Wed visit the King Power, as the Owls sit one off the bottom of the standings and have lost more away matches in the division than any team this season.

Team News

Leicester have no fresh injury concerns to contend with, but Wilfred Ndidi, Jannik Vestergaard and Marc Albrighton remain sidelined, while Kelechi Iheanacho is unlikely to feature as he makes his way back from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Wednesday will once again have to make do without injured quartet Josh Windass, Callum Paterson, John Buckley and Dominic Iorfa, but manager Danny Rohl could stick with the same side that beat Birmingham on Friday night.

Match Odds

There are a whopping 49 points separating these two sides in the standings and it is no surprise to see Leicester are the overwhelming favourites to win this one at 2/7, while Wednesday are 9/1 outsiders.

The two teams did play out a draw in the reverse meeting at Hillsborough in November and it is 4/1 they share the spoils again, while a repeat of that 1-1 scoreline is available at 9/1.

Leicester have been the standout team in the Championship this season and the stats back that up, as they are the highest scorers in the division and also boast the meanest defence.

Of the 24 goals they have conceded, only nine of those have come on home turf, while Maresca has seen his side win seven of their last eight home games since they last tasted defeat on their own patch against Leeds at the start of November.

Wednesday have lost 12 of their 15 away matches in the Championship this season and since last avoiding defeat on the road at Preston over the festive period, they have been thrashed 4-0 at both Southampton and Huddersfield in the league, as well as going down 4-1 at Coventry in the FA Cup.

This has all the makings of a routine Leicester win and do not be surprised if that is accompanied by a clean sheet.

#PickYourPunt - Patson Daka to score anytime and Barry Bannan to be carded @ 4/1

Having been left out in the cold over the opening months of the season, Leicester forward Patson Daka has worked his way back into the team of late, with all nine of his league starts coming since the beginning of December.

The Zambia international has certainly seized his chance, scoring seven times during that period, including three across his last two games against Stoke and Watford.

With Iheanacho still travelling back from AFCON and Jamie Vardy having become more of an impact player off the bench, Daka scoring anytime on Tuesday is worth considering for any #PickYourPunt.

Another avenue worth considering is the cards market, specifically for Sheff Wed, who have picked up a league-high 76 yellows so far this season.

Captain Barry Bannan has been responsible for nine of those cautions, the most recent of which came in the win over Birmingham - number 10 could follow for the Scot on Tuesday.
