Leicester City take on Birmingham City at the King Power Stadium in the Championship on Saturday (15:00) looking to build on Monday's important 3-1 victory over Norwich City, also on home soil. The Foxes still have work to do as they find themselves two points behind leaders Ipswich Town, whose last-gasp winner over Southampton took them to the top of the table.

As for Birmingham, they will be looking to capitalise on an important win of their own. After beating Preston North End 1-0 on Monday, the Blues now have a two-point cushion above the relegation zone. Here are our Leicester vs Birmingham predictions, including team news and match odds.

Leicester vs Birmingham Betting Tips

  • Leicester and both teams to score @ 13/8
  • Jay Stansfield to score anytime @ 4/1

Match Odds

Leicester are the 2/7 favourites, or a 77.8% chance to win this match. Birmingham are priced at 7/1 (12.5%) to stump the Foxes. The draw can be backed at 4/1 (20%). Both teams to score is on offer at 4/5 and over 2.5 goals is 1/2.

Team News

Leicester were boosted by the return of defender Callum Doyle on Monday, having missed the defeat at Bristol City, while Ricardo Pereira was fit enough to start the game.

This certainly had an impact on the pitch and helped them get back to winning ways. The Foxes, however, are still without Tom Cannon, Kasey McAteer and Ben Nelson due to injury.

Enzo Maresca will be pleased with how his players responded to their Good Friday loss and he could be set to name the same team to take on the Blues on Saturday. However, after adding the icing on the cake with the Foxes' third goal last time out, Jamie Vardy could be in contention to return to the lineup, having atoned for his misses at Ashton Gate.

Birmingham are without midfielder Alfie Chang, who has missed most of the season with an ACL injury. Veteran forward Lukas Jutkiewicz and defender Marc Roberts are also in the treatment room and are set to miss the small trip to the East Midlands.

After seeing a lot of intensity and desire from his side in the win over Preston, interim boss Gary Rowett could opt to name an unchanged XI at the King Power, as the Blues look to build some momentum in their bid to stay in the second tier.

Leicester and both teams to score @ 13/8

If Birmingham were to face the Foxes a few weeks ago, despite their own poor form, you could've seen them getting something against them. However, after coming from behind to win comfortably against Norwich, their tails will be up as they look to avoid fumbling automatic promotion.

The Blues will head to Leicestershire with some confidence of their own and will look to be as competitive as they were against North End, but in terms of quality, Leicester far outweigh them and Birmingham should slip back into another defeat this weekend.

Jay Stansfield to score anytime @ 4/1

Birmingham's match-winner on Saturday was of course their top scorer Jay Stansfield. The 21-year-old attacker netted his 10th league goal of the campaign, which for your debut campaign in the Championship, in a team that has mostly struggled, is an impressive feat.

He ended a run of five games without a goal, which had seen him squander some decent chances and sparked fan criticism. He responded on Saturday by saying that he is only human and sees everything that is said online, yet another reminder that footballers are just like the rest of us.

The goal was huge for both him and the team and he will be heading to the King Power having rediscovered his confidence in front of goal. We think the Blues will be competitive here and can hurt Leicester, and if anyone is going to score against them, it is this man.
