League Two took centre stage last weekend during the international break, and there’s no let up here as England’s fourth tier returns for another set of fixtures. We’ve taken a look at the matches to come up with an accumulator for Saturday.

League Two Accumulator Tips

  • MK Dons vs Stockport County – BTTS Yes at 4/7
  • Wrexham to beat Grimsby Town at 3/5
  • Doncaster Rovers to beat Forest Green Rovers at 23/10
  • Crawley Town to beat Tranmere at 5/4

Fourfold pays 18/1

MK Dons vs Stockport County – BTTS Yes

Two of the pre-season favourites meet at Stadium:MK, but it’s the away side who have had a slow start. Just like last season, Dave Challinor’s men find themselves nearer the relegation zone than the play-offs, but there are signs they are starting to pick up.

Meanwhile MK Dons have been impressive under Graham Alexander so far, with the 1-1 draw against Notts County last time out a sign of their quality. However their last six matches in all competitions have ended BTTS Yes, and with Stockport still possessing plenty of quality, I’d rather back that market than the full-time result.

Wrexham to beat Grimsby Town

At this stage, I’m fairly happy to back Wrexham at home in League Two against almost any opponent. They’ve not been beaten since that opening day 5-3 horror show against MK Dons, and since then have found their feet in the division. Back-to-back wins have taken them into the play-offs and now Phil Parkinson’s side, with their financial muscle, are a match on paper for any squad in the division.

There’s a lot to like about Grimsby this season, and they’ve only lost one match in the league, but they are also yet to win on the road. That difference between home and away form will likely see them come up short on this occasion.

Doncaster Rovers to beat Forest Green Rovers

Backing the league’s bottom club to win away from home may seem stupid, but there’s good reason behind this choice. With defeats to Harrogate and Newport, Doncaster’s start to the season was nothing short of horrendous. Then they faced Mansfield, Notts County and MK Dons – three of the top sides in the division.

They scored in each of those matches, before keeping out free-scoring Swindon Town with ten men in a 0-0 draw. They were unfortunate to lose to Wrexham last time out, but they’ve without doubt had the toughest start to the season in terms of fixtures. Now things ease up and they travel to a FGR side who have just been hammered 4-1 at home by Crewe. The 23/10 on them to win this one is huge.

Crawley Town to beat Tranmere

Crawley are defying the odds this term and having scored ten goals in their last three matches, are one of the most exciting teams in the league. Their 4-1 win over Newport last weekend was impressive, and up against a fairly miserable Tranmere side, they should be able to comfortably secure another victory.
