League Two returns this weekend for the final round of games before Christmas and we’ve put together an accumulator for you to consider. Featuring three games on Friday night, and one from Saturday, this fourfold is priced at 16/1

League 2 Accumulator Tips:

  • Stockport to beat Notts County @ 4/7
  • Barrow to beat Crewe @ 7/4
  • Salford to beat Colchester @ 15/8
  • Wrexham to beat Newport County @ 4/11

Fourfold pays 16/1

Stockport to beat Notts County @ 4/7

Stockport are the best team in League Two. That’s a fact. The Hatters should win the league, given they have already established a six-point gap between themselves and second-placed Barrow. They are hosting another top side in the form of Notts County, but the promotion contenders have lost form in recent weeks, losing their last three in all competitions.

They’ve now dropped down to sixth, and a trip to Edgeley Park is the last thing they need. I am happy to back Stockport against anyone this season, and they’ve actually performed well against teams who have come and attacked them this term. I fancy them to get all three points here.

Barrow to beat Crewe @ 7/4

Pete Wild’s Barrow are up to second in the league and are currently top of the form table. Barrow have now won six league games in a row, and they haven’t lost since the 3rd October. They have been the surprise package of the season so far and look on track for a top three finish, which would be a remarkable achievement.

They travel to a Crewe side who are also play-off contenders, up in 5th. However, Barrow have been impressive on the road of late and the price of 7/4 is large for a team sitting second in the league. I’m happy to back Wild and his merry men once again!

Salford to beat Colchester @ 15/8

Colchester are in dire straits at this moment in time. They sit bottom of the form table having lost their last five matches on the trot, and they’ve now dropped to 22nd in the table. Relegation is a real worry for the U’s and they host Salford in a crunch relegation clash.

Salford are also struggling this term, down in 20th, but they’ve drawn their last two games 0-0. They could also do with a couple of fixtures in quick succession given they’ve only played once this month due to postponements. With their superior squad, I like the price of 15/8 on them to come out victorious here.

Wrexham to beat Newport County @ 4/11

Wrexham at home are also easy to back in League Two this season. They are chasing promotion, have one of the most expensive squads in the division and have boatloads of talent at their disposal. As a result, the Welsh side should be able to tear Newport County apart with relative ease.

County are a mid-table outfit who lost to lowly Tranmere in their last away game. Up against far superior opposition this result should be fairly obvious, and even at a short price, is worth adding to our accumulator.
