When asked about how manager Michael Beale has done, Robbo came away impressed with the first few months of his reign following his switch from QPR last season and really likes what they’ve done up front.

‘He’s (Michael Beale) had a good chance to look at his squad last year. I liked what he did (and) I enjoyed watching them and I think his work will continue this year. Unlike Celtic I think they’ve had an overhaul in the summer. They brought in a new strike force. (They’ve) spent more than ten million on a strike force.

‘(As for) Todd Cantwell, we’re looking for him to recreate his form of last year with Ryan Jackson as well. It’s a boost for them. They’ve got to get nearer this year to Celtic than they have done. I think with this new strike force that they’ve brought in, especially Danilo, I think they’ll be looking for him for the goals. 

‘Six million from Feyenoord it’s a big purchase for Rangers to go into the market and spend over ten million on a strike force is a big statement for them so they’ll be looking to push on and progress this year.’

When asked about his Best Bet for the game, Robinson thinks their new six million pound man from Feyenoord can step up and find the back of the net in his SPL league debut but he doesn’t fancy the chances of the home side much.
