Kilmarnock will be looking to build on last weekend’s 3-1 home win over Livingston when they host Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

The Dons threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 at home to PAOK in the Europa Conference League on Thursday and ahead of their trip to Rugby Park are a point worse off than Killie, who have played a game more.

Kilmarnock vs Aberdeen Tips

  • Kilmarnock to win @ 6/4
  • Daniel Armstrong to score anytime @ 18/5

Match Odds

Kilmarnock are 6/4 favourites in the match result market, Aberdeen are 2/1 and the draw is priced at 21/10.

Both teams to score is available at 4/5, something which has occurred in all of Killie’s last six games.

There have been over 3.5 goals in four of Kilmarnock’s last five league outings and there have been at least four goals in two of Aberdeen’s last three with over 3.5 in Sunday’s game on offer at 11/4.

Team News

Kyle Magennis is still absent with a hamstring injury but Derek McInnes has no fresh injury problems and the Kilmarnock boss may well be tempted to stick with the same side that beat Livingston last time out.

Aberdeen duo Jack MacKenzie and Dante Polvara came into the starting XI against PAOK and will hope to retain their places for the trip to Rugby Park.

James McGarry and Shayden Morris are still out for the visitors with hamstring injuries.

Kilmarnock to win @ 6/4

Aberdeen were involved in an action–packed Europa Conference League clash on Thursday and could still be feeling the effects of that 3-2 home defeat to PAOK when they go to Kilmarnock for Sunday’s noon kick-off.

The Dons will have been hugely disappointed to lose their Group G game, which leaves them third in the table on just one point, as they were 2-0 up with 20 minutes to go before being left to rue a couple of controversial VAR penalty calls that both went against them.

They must try and pick themselves up to face Killie but their opponents have not played since last Saturday so have had a full week to prepare.

Kilmarnock have only won twice in the league this season but both victories have come at home, last week’s success over Livingston – which was their first win in eight SPL games – adding to their eye-catching 1-0 triumph on the opening weekend of the season against Rangers.

In what is expected to be another tight game, Killie are tipped to edge it.

Daniel Armstrong to score anytime @ 18/5

Daniel Armstrong has arguably been Kilmarnock’s best player this season with the midfielder scoring three times and also weighing in with three assists.

He was particularly influential in the win over Livingston, scoring the opener and then setting up Kyle Vassell for the second, and if Killie are to come out on top on Sunday, he could be a key man again.

Armstrong has had 22 shots in nine league games this season, of which four have been on target, and he has had at least one shot in every league game so far.

Aberdeen have kept just one clean sheet in their last five games in all competitions so there appears a good chance their backline will be breached again and Armstrong looks to be a good option in the anytime scorer market.
