A Gianluigi Buffon derby on a Wednesday night, anyone? Team News

Juventus head coach Thiago Motta could make a few changes to his starting XI after Sunday's 4-4 draw with Inter Milan.

Kenan Yildiz came off the bench to bag a point-saving brace at San Siro and should be rewarded with a start on Wednesday. Francisco Conceicao or Juve's second goalscorer in Milan, Timothy Weah, are the most likely to make way for the Turkish teenager.

Nicola Savona, Khephren Thuram and Federico Gatti are also pushing for starts after appearing as second-half substitutes on the weekend.

Bremer, Nico Gonzalez, Teun Koopmeiners, Arkadiusz Milik and Douglas Luiz remain injured, however, while Paul Pogba doesn't return from his doping ban until next year.

Football Odds

Parma centre-backs Alessandro Circati and Yordan Osorio are ruled out of Wednesday's contest, while Mateusz Kowalski could miss a seventh-straight game through injury.

French striker Ange-Yoan Bonny will hope to keep his starting spot despite crashing an 84th-minute penalty against the crossbar in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Empoli.

Dennis Man was taken off at half-time for Gabriel Charpentier at the Stadio Ennio Tardini and will be sweating over his place in Fabio Pecchia's lineup.

Juventus are 2/5 to triumph in back-to-back home games in Serie A, giving Wednesday's hosts an implied win probability of 71.4%, while Parma are 7/1, or a 12.5% chance, to claim victory for the first time on the road this season.

The draw is priced at 18/5, both teams to score at 10/11, and over 2.5 total goals at 4/6.

Dusan Vlahovic, who scored Juve's first goal on Sunday, is 10/11 favourite in the anytime goalscorer market, with teammate Yildiz 15/8 to find the net again. Adrian Benedyczak, who returned to the Parma squad at the weekend for the first time since April 27, is 18/5 to strike anytime for the visitors.

Juventus kept six consecutive Serie A clean sheets to kick off Motta's reign as head coach. They also didn't concede from open play in their first eight league games, recording seven shutouts.

However, their stunning defensive record was completely obliterated on Sunday, as Inter hit three past Michele Di Gregorio in the first half at San Siro before adding one more in the second period.

Few could have predicted their defence being breached that many times, but there have been signs in the Uefa Champions League that they can be got at. The Old Lady have failed to keep a clean sheet in Europe this season, beating PSV Eindhoven 3-1 at home and RB Leipzig 3-2 in Germany before losing 1-0 in Turin to Stuttgart last time out.

As such, while they head into Wednesday's contest on the back of seven clean sheets in nine Serie A games, they've only actually shut out the opposition three times in their last eight matches across all competitions.

Motta's side did hold off AS Roma and Napoli from scoring in goalless draws at the Allianz Stadium last month and denied Lazio from finding the net in a 1-0 win earlier in October, but four Champions League-level teams - PSV, Leipzig, Stuttgart and Inter - all found a way past their backline, on multiple occasions in the cases of Leipzig and Inter.

Parma don't possess anywhere near the same quality as those sides but they have proven that they can cause problems at the top end of the pitch, scoring in 88.9 per cent (eight) of their nine Serie A matches since securing promotion from the second division earlier this year. Only Bologna have denied the Crusaders from netting so far, and Pecchia's charges were reduced to 10 men in the 52nd minute of that contest at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.

Napoli were the first Serie A side to concede at home to Parma this season, with Bonny putting the visitors in front at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona before Antonio Conte masterminded a comeback in Naples, with Gli Azzurri emerging 2-1 winners.

I see something similar panning out at the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday with Parma looking to pounce on a vulnerable Juve defence that shipped four goals just a few days ago.

Both teams to score has been a winning bet in three of Parma's four Serie A away matches this term and they have scored an average of 1.4 goals a game in their five Serie A outings against top-half teams.

However, while I'm backing the two-time Uefa Cup winners to score in Turin, their hosts should have too much firepower for them.

Parma have conceded multiple goals four times this term and are yet to win on their travels, losing to Napoli and drawing with Lecce (2-2), Bologna (0-0) and Como (1-1).

Juve are on another level to the three sides that Parma held to a stalemate, so I'm expecting the Old Lady to come out on top by the end of Wednesday's contest.

This isn't a market I would usually delve into but given Parma's disciplinary record this season and the odds on offer, I think it's one worthy of consideration on Wednesday.

Parma have been awarded a league-high four red cards in 2024/25, one more than the next-highest teams, Lecce and Milan (both three).

Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki was shown the first of these for two bookable offences in the August 31 defeat in Naples. Belgian midfielder Mandela Keita was the second offender in Parma's next match 17 days later, a 3-2 home defeat to Udinese where he was also dismissed for two yellow cards.

Italian forward Matteo Cancellieri then made it three reds in a row when he was given his marching orders for serious foul play in the 2-2 draw with Lecce on September 21, before Woyo Coulibaly picked up a straight red on October 6 in his side's goalless draw at Bologna.

Parma need to keep their heads in Turin on Wednesday if they wish to achieve a positive result, and in fairness to the Crusaders, they haven't been shown a red in their last two matches.

However, Como and Empoli are very different opponents from Juve, who will expect to dominate possession at home and have players like Yildiz who will run at their defenders.

There was a red card shown in Juve's last four matches before Sunday's thriller in Milan, although three of them were awarded to the Old Lady in games against Leipzig, Cagliari and Stuttgart (Lazio defender Alessio Romagnoli also received one in that run).

The 7/2 for a red card to be shown to any team on Wednesday is tempting, but I'm going to stick my neck out and back a Parma dismissal at 13/2 as they are likely to be the side under more pressure.
