After losing 4-2 to Sassuolo last time out, Juventus will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they host Lecce in Serie A on Tuesday evening.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side were stunned on their travels, losing for the first time this season, while Lecce have made an incredible start to the campaign, with I Giallorossi unbeaten in six.

Juventus have not lost at home to Lecce since 2004, and after a decent start to the season, Juve are 8/15 to pick up all three points.

The draw is available at 3/1, while Lecce are 11/2 to pick up the victory on their travels.

Juventus vs Lecce Prediction

  • Juventus to win and both teams to score @ 5/2
  • Half-time/Full-time – Draw/Juventus @ 3/1

Team news

Allegri is unable to call upon the services of Alex Sandro and Mattia De Sciglio, while Paul Pogba also remains unavailable.

Forward Tim Weah is pushing for a start, as are Arkadiusz Milik and Nicolo Fagioli, but their chances of starting depend on Allegri wanting to give Dusan Vlahovic a rest.

Lecce’s Federico Baschirotto is back in the fold after serving a suspension, while coach Roberto D’Aversa also has Kastriot Dermaku to choose from after he recovered from a muscular issue.

However, Lameck Banda is still sidelined with a thigh injury, so D’Aversa may stick with the same forward line that beat Genoa 1-0 on Friday.

Juventus to win and both teams to score @ 5/2

Juventus’ defeat on Saturday came as a shock, especially after the strong start they made in the previous few weeks.

The Old Lady went to Reggio Emilia with a spring in their step after three wins from their first four league games, and they will hope their defeat was a one off.

In Lecce, they face a side that have only conceded four goals all season, but they have a dire record at Juve, last winning on the road against them in 2004.

Lecce’s strong start has been impressive, but their only notable win came against Lazio, and they should struggle to overcome Juventus, who have only lost three in 15 at home in Serie A.

Half-time/Full-time – Draw/Juventus @ 3/1

We have already mentioned Lecce’s impressive defensive record, and that should be the crux of their game plan on Tuesday.

Lecce will travel with a plan to frustrate Juventus, and if they can unsettle them, they should be able to be level at half-time.

After last week’s defeat to Sassuolo, Juve will no doubt be a little cautious in the early exchanges, but they have greater strength in depth and should be able to find a way past their visitors eventually.
