Inter Milan delivered a professional performance in Rotterdam last Wednesday as they secured a 2-0 lead over Feyenoord in their Uefa Champions League tie. They welcome the Dutch side to San Siro on Tuesday (20:00, TNT Sports 2) for the second leg, and the hosts are in the driving seat.

Feyenoord boss Robin van Persie has his work cut out for him to reduce the deficit in Inter's backyard. Read on for my Inter Milan vs Feyenoord predictions, supported by the latest match odds and team news.

Inter Milan vs Feyenoord Betting Tips

  • Inter Milan to win to nil @ 11/10
  • Lautaro Martinez anytime goalscorer @ 11/10

Inter Milan vs Feyenoord Odds

Inter have won their last six home games in all competitions and are the 4/11 favourites to prevail inside 90 minutes on this occasion. All seven of the Nerazzurri's victories in the Champions League came with a clean sheet. Better value can be had in backing them to win to nil at 11/10, which has an implied probability of 47.6%

Two of Feyenoord's past away trips in this competition ended in a stalemate. Their last draw came against Inter's bitter rivals AC Milan inside San Siro, and you can back the same outcome at 9/2 (18.2%) on Tuesday.

De club aan de Maas won two of their four away trips in the league phase and they are 15/2 to prevail in regulation time.

Inter's Lautaro Martinez has struck six times in the Champions League this term and is the 11/10 favourite to score anytime in this contest.

Team News

The hosts' captain Martinez is set to lead the line as usual to see the job through, and he'll likely be reunited with Marcus Thuram up top, who was rested on Saturday against Monza.

Boss Simone Inzaghi is still struggling with wing-back injuries as Matteo Darmian, Federico Dimarco and Nicola Zalewski are all out of action due to muscular injuries. However, Carlos Augusto has returned to the fold at the weekend in the second-half, and he may be considered for a start here.

This would open the door for Alessandro Bastoni to resume his role in the centre of defence. Goalkeeper Yann Sommer is back in contention following thumb surgery, and Inzaghi feels that the Swiss international is ready to reclaim his spot from Josep Martinez.

Feyenoord are still in the midst of an injury crisis with several first-team stars sidelined, including Hwang In-beom, Bart Nieuwkoop, Gernot Trauner, Calvin Stengs, goalkeeper Justin Bijlow and captain Quinten Timber.

Young defender Givairo Read returns from suspension for this clash, but Ibrahim Osman must now serve a one-match ban for accumulated bookings following the yellow card he picked up in the first leg.

Inter Milan to win to nil @ 11/10

I correctly tipped Inter to win to nil in the first leg and now that they are back on their own patch, I'm even more confident in backing this selection again. The Nerazzurri have conceded just one goal in nine Champions League matches this season, which is the best defensive record in the competition.

Inzaghi's men are brilliantly organised and they often frustrate their opponents with the way that they smother them with their pressing. Feyenoord's injury crisis also adds to this, they are missing some key players so it is hard to see them laying a glove on Inter in Milan.

And as I mentioned earlier, all seven of the hosts' wins in Europe this term have seen them keep a clean sheet, so I think we are likely to see this trend continue on Tuesday night.

Inter to win to nil has struck at San Siro on 12 occasions in all competitions this season, highlighting their defensive strength when playing at home. I believe we will see register another when they Feyenoord for the second leg.

Lautaro Martinez anytime goalscorer @ 11/10

Martinez wrapped up proceedings in Rotterdam last week, and I think he can play a pivotal role again in securing Inter's place in the quarter-finals. The strike partnership that he and Thuram have developed this year has been one of the most impressive across the continent, and they tend to bring the best out of each other when they play.

Thuram to score did look appealing at 13/10, but I'm going with the Nerazzurri's captain fantastic, who is currently four goals away from the most goals for an Inter player in a single Champions League campaign. Hernan Crespo (2002/03) currently holds that accolade with nine.

It's a record he will fancy himself to achieve this year and a goal on Tuesday would take him one step closer to breaking it.
