West Brom are in the Championship play-off places and have promotion ambitions whereas Huddersfield have a fight on their hands in order to secure survival. However, the Terriers have been going pretty well at the John Smith's Stadium, where they held second-placed Leeds to a 1-1 draw in their last home outing, and will still believe that they can stave off the drop.

The Baggies, meanwhile, have struggled on their travels of late, winning only one of their last seven away league matches and they have some key absentees in attacking areas to contend with.

Huddersfield vs West Brom Betting Tips

  • Draw @ 23/10
  • Michal Helik to score at any time @ 13/2

Match Odds

West Brom, who sit fifth in the Championship, are 6/4 for victory at relegation-threatened hosts Huddersfield.

The Terriers are 15/8 to claim three precious points in their scrap for survival while the draw, which has happened in three of West Brom’s last four away games, is a 23/10 chance.

Both teams to score can be backed at 4/5 while over 2.5 goals is an 11/10 poke.

Team News

Huddersfield are boosted by the return from suspension of Jonathan Hogg but Yuta Nakayama and Oliver Turton remain out injured.

Kian Harratt is banned for the hosts while Radinio Balker, Rhys Healey and Josh Ruffels are still on the sidelines.

West Brom are weakened in forward areas with Daryl Dike, Josh Maja, Matt Phillips and Brandon Thomas-Asante all missing. Defender Conor Townsend is also out.

Draw @ 23/10

Huddersfield find themselves in the relegation zone and, while they are only a point off safety, supporters may be feeling anxious after last weekend’s 1-0 loss at Cardiff.

However, the Terriers have reason to feel optimistic about their chances at home, where they have lost only one of their last five matches which includes a 1-1 draw with promotion-hunting Leeds last time out.

That was a remarkable result given that they played the whole of the second half with 10 men and that tenacity is going to stand them in good stead in their battle for survival.

Huddersfield have drawn seven of their 18 home league games this season, also holding third-placed Ipswich and fourth-placed Southamton, which suggests they should be competitive against play-off occupants West Brom.

The Baggies are a strong Championship outfit but they have some big injuries to contend with and they head to Yorkshire having won only one of their last seven away games.

Carlos Corberan’s side have shared the spoils in three of their last four away league matches and they may have to settle for another point at Huddersfield. Interestingly, this fixture last season ended in a 2-2 draw.

Draw at 23/10

Michal Helik to score at any time @ 13/2

Huddersfield are a big threat from set pieces and in Polish centre-back Michal Helik they have a real asset in the air.

Quite remarkably, Helik is Huddersfield’s leading scorer this season with nine goals in 32 appearances, with his tally coming from a total of 22 shots.

Helik has four goals in his last seven league appearances, which includes the opening goal against Leeds in his last start at home, and he could be a value selection to get on the scoresheet against the Baggies.
