Hoffenheim will be without long-term absentees Valentin Gendrey, Adam Hlozek, Koki Machida and Hennes Behrens.

Their two defeats have come at the hands of Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt, so there is no shame in losing to teams of that quality. Hoffenheim picked up a draw away at Freiburg last time out and recorded 2.5 expected goals in that 1-1 draw.

They are taking on a Koln team who have lost back-to-back games after a solid start to the new season. The visitors were beaten 3-1 by RB Leipzig and 2-1 by Stuttgart and they have conceded eight goals in their last three matches and that could be their undoing.

Nevertheless, both teams have scored in Hoffenheim's five Bundesliga games and Cologne's last four so take both teams to score in a home win.
