Hellas Verona vs Cremonese Prediction: Momentum with the visitors

A double helping of Serie A action on Monday begins with Cremonese putting their perfect record on the line with a trip to the hitherto pointless Hellas Verona. Cremonese have been scoring goals freely and should be eager to make the most of facing a host side that were hit for four by Lazio last time out.

The home side are plotting without Tomas Suslov, Daniel Mosquera and Nicolas Valentini but could welcome recent signings Armel Bella-Kotchap and Hoffenheim loanee Gift Orban into their ranks.

Cremonese, too, have a new face in veteran forward Jamie Vardy, although the former Leicester frontman may have to settle for a place on the bench with Antonio Sanabria and Franco Vazquez in front of him.

Cremonese have made an excellent start to the season after being promoted from the second tier, having recorded wins over AC Milan and Sassuolo already and it's a mild surprise to find they are outsiders to win at the Stadio Bentegodi, where the home side don't possess the best record.

Verona have played both games thus far on their travels, picking up a point at Udinese before going down 4-0 at Lazio.

Paolo Zanetti's side have won only one of their previous 13 home games and look unsteady as favourites. They conceded 36 home goals in Serie A last season, more than any other side.

Cremonese are scoring freely and have added Vardy to their ranks, with the Englishman likely to be deployed from the bench here. They can continue to ride the crest of their early-season wave.

Over 2.5 goals @ 6/4

Over 2.5 goals also looked overpriced. Both teams have scored in both of Cremonese's games, which have featured three and five goals. Eight of their last nine competitive away games have gone over 2.5 goals.

Verona shipped four against Lazio but they had at least found the net in their four Serie A games prior to that and have added attacking options in Rafik Belghali and  Orban.
