Barcelona are looking to extend their unbeaten start to the season as they travel to 19th-placed Granada on Sunday, with kick-off at 8pm. We’ve taken a look at the betting markets to pick out some value for this La Liga fixture.

Granada vs Barcelona Tips

  • Barcelona to win and BTTS Yes @ 8/5
  • Ferran Torres to score anytime @ 21/20

Team news

Lamine Yamal had to come off against Porto in the Champions League due to illness and there is a chance he may not recover in time to take any part in this match. Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski also went off with a serious ankle injury and is facing a spell on the sidelines. Pedri, Raphinha and Frenkie De Jong are all also going to miss this clash.

Barcelona to win and BTTS Yes @ 8/5

Barcelona as mentioned, are unbeaten this season, and looking good across all competitions. They are now just one point behind league leaders Real Madrid and have won both of their Champions League matches without conceding a goal. They should be able to win this game comfortably, given Granada have just one win from eight in La Liga this season.

However, the odds of 2/5 for them to win the game are unappealing. Instead, we can be more sensible by picking BTTS Yes to go along with the away win. This may seem strange given the strength of Barca’s defence, but Granada’s games have been nothing short of bonkers recently. In their last six matches they’ve lost 5-3 and 4-2, beaten Mallorca 3-2 and last time out drew 3-3 with Almeria. Goalscoring is certainly not an issue for this side, but they have the joint-worst defence in the league.

8/5 for a Barcelona win and BTTS is well worth taking on.

Ferran Torres to score anytime @ 21/20

Picking a Barcelona goalscorer is another way to find some value here. They should dominate the game and create loads of chances against this shaky defence, and opportunity knocks for several of their forwards. Given Robert Lewandowski is going to miss this one, and 16-year-old Lamine Yamal is not guaranteed to start after his illness, we are likely to see Joao Felix and Ferran Torres play key roles.

Out of the two, we are backing Ferran Torres given Joao Felix has scored once in five appearances and is still finding his way at his new club. Torres is going to be given the central berth in Lewandowski’s absence, and the goalscoring responsibility to go with it. For Barcelona and Xavi, he will have to step up to the plate. Starting this Sunday.
