Sheffield United vs Nottingham Forest

We begin at Bramall Lane, where Sheffield United will host Nottingham Forest in the game of the day from the Premier League. The Blades enjoy home advantage and must make it count if they are to give their fans something to cheer following a horrific campaign. Forest visits the home of the division’s bottom club, needing a win to boost their chances of staying in the division and beating relegation.

It’s worth noting both teams scored at least one goal in each of their last five meetings, a run stretching back to April 2019. The last two have produced 2-1 correct scores, and another tight contest is expected. Add the Blades and Tricky Trees to your Goals Galore picks, and hope this renewal follows the trends.

Ross County vs Hibs

Moving to the Scottish Premiership and a game from the bottom six as Ross County hosts Hibs in Dingwall. We expect the team from Edinburgh to score an away win here and add them to our weekend Scottish accumulator, but think Ross County has at least one goal in the tank to keep things interesting.

The Staggies are fighting for their Premiership future but are second from bottom of the league after losing three of their last four, while Hibs arrive on the back of a weekend win. The head-to-head stats show both teams scored in three of the previous four meetings, with two of the last three producing four-goal draws.

Motherwell vs Livingston

Sticking with the top tier of Scottish football, we’re at Fir Park, where Motherwell is expected to defeat bottom club Livingston. The Lions are already relegated to the Championship following a dreadful campaign. They arrive in Motherwell having failed to win 30 of their 34 games this season, but they did claim a rare victory last weekend.

Flicking through the stats attached to this game, we note Motherwell and Livingston scored at least one goal each in each of their last two meetings and three of four. The previous two games have produced 3-1 wins for Motherwell, and we’re looking for something similar in this renewal. Add the Steelmen and the Lions to your bet to help ramp up the returns.

Stoke vs Bristol City

Moving to the English Championship, we have the final round of fixtures before the season moves to the promotion and relegation playoff places. All remaining games kick off at 12:30 GMT on Saturday, which makes it ideal for your weekend multiples and accumulators. Stoke host Bristol City, and we expect a fair share of goals in this game.

The danger of betting in the final round is we’re unsure how teams will set up. Will they have one eye on the summer break and choose to rest players? That remains to be seen, but we know Stoke and Bristol City were both on the scoresheet when producing a five-goal thriller last time. Stoke won that game 3-2, and it was the third match in a row where both teams scored. With the pressure off, let’s hope for a few more goals.

Leicester vs Blackburn

The final game of five also comes from the English Championship, where league leaders and champions Leicester City welcome Blackburn Rovers. The Foxes aim to bring the curtain down in style. They’re off to the Premier League and don’t have to worry about the lotto of playing promotion football this time.

We noticed Leicester and Blackburn produced five goals last time, with the Foxes winning 4-1 at Ewood Park. Backing Goals Galore in this fixture would’ve landed you a winner in each of the last four meetings, and a fifth looks likely. Both teams will play without fear and go on the attack from the first whistle.
