Newcastle vs Tottenham

The curtain goes up on another dramatic weekend of UK football at a packed St James’ Park. Newcastle United aims to dent Tottenham's top-four chances in a 12:30pm start you can follow live on television. The hosts are pushing for a top-six finish and a place in Europe next season, while the Londoners hold the advantage over Villa in fourth following a three-game unbeaten run.

Newcastle and Tottenham have given us some memorable games in recent times, including an astonishing 6-1 home win here last season and a 4-1 for Spurs earlier in this campaign. The stats show both teams scored in each of the last eight renewals, and we fancy more of the same on Saturday afternoon.

Nottingham Forest vs Wolves

Moving to the Saturday 3:00pm starts, we’re at the City Ground to preview Nottingham Forest’s home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The locals are fighting for their Premier League survival and start the weekend just one place and four goals better than Luton in the relegation zone. Wolves are 11th and could climb into the top-10 with a strong finish to the season.

The head-to-head stats concerning this fixture show that 1-1 was the final score in each of the last three meetings, including at Molineux back in December. Bettors could try another two-goal draw in the correct score market as a super single, but we’re happy to add Forest vs Wolves to our Goals Galore picks.

Motherwell vs Hibs

Shifting our attention to the Scottish Premiership, there’s an interesting game at Fir Park: Motherwell vs. Hibs. The home team has been poor this term but appears determined to finish on a high. They have lost just one of their last five games. Home advantage will encourage them to build on that with another victory. Hibs target a top-six finish but have lost their last two ahead of this trip, meaning the pressure is on.

The Steelmen and Hibees have shared seven goals in two previous meetings this season, including a 2-2 finish at Easter Road in January. Both teams have found the net at least once in their last four outings, and we’re more than happy to stick with that trend. Sure to be a tense game, we add Motherwell vs Hibs to the pile.

St Johnstone vs Kilmarnock

The second and final pick from the Scottish Premiership takes us to McDiarmid Park, where St Johnstone and Kilmarnock need the points for very different reasons. The Saints enjoy home advantage, and their recent form suggests they’ll need it after losing two of their last three. Kilmarnock are unbeaten in four and sitting pretty in fourth place, where they are likely to remain. All the pressure is on the locals who are dangerously close to the relegation zone.

The Saints and Killie have met twice already this season, with the team playing at home, winning 2-1 on both occasions. Going back further, both teams scored in three of the last four and five of seven. St Johnstone knows they must win this game, while Killie has the class to hurt their hosts on the break.

Swansea vs Rotherham

We’ve arrived at the end of our weekend Goals Galore picks and are wrapping things up with one pick in the English Championship. Our Goals Galore bet fell flat last week in the second tier, with one team of ten letting us down, but we won’t lose heart. The Championship is competitive and unpredictable. That’s why we love it.

Swansea host Rotherham, with the Swans winning 2-1 at New York Stadium late last year. Both teams scored in each of the previous four meetings, and digging deeper, we notice both found the net at least once in five of seven. That’s a strong enough trend to catch our attention and merit a place in our accumulator.
