Germany vs Denmark Prediction: Hosts to book place in last eight
Tournament hosts Germany will look to overcome Denmark in their Euro 2024 last-16 clash on Saturday evening (20:00, live on ITV).
Julian Nagelsmann's side topped Group A to cruise into the knockout stages, while Denmark managed to secure second place in a low-scoring Group C. Read on for my Germany vs Denmark prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.
Germany vs Denmark Betting Tips
Germany's opening two fixtures at Euro 2024 were relatively straightforward, enjoining 5-1 and 2-0 wins over Scotland and Hungary respectively. However, they had top dig deep to secure a 1-1 draw with Switzerland in their final test in Group A, to confirm themselves as group winners.
Niclas Fullkrug came to the rescue with a header in stoppage time, but the Swiss managed to expose some of Germany's potential weaknesses that Denmark will be looking to exploit here.
The Red and Whites managed to emerge from a forgettable Group C - the joint lowest-scoring men's Euro group in history with just seven goals scored across six games.
However, despite failing to win any of their group games, they've lost just one of their last 15 internationals, and will be confident that they can give the Germans a run for their money on Saturday night.
Team News
Nagelsmann will be forced to make a change at the back, as Jonathan Tah was booked twice during the group stages, and will be forced to serve a one-match ban on Saturday.
Antonio Rudiger may miss out here too, after suffering a hamstring problem and failing to train with the team earlier this week.
As for Denmark, Morten Hjulmand will also serve a one-game suspension on Saturday due to a totting-up of yellow cards, while Thomas Delaney could return to the starting XI, after recovering from illness to come off the bench against Serbia.
Unsurprisingly, Germany are favourites for the game at 8/13, giving them an implied win probability of 61.9%, while their opponents are 5/1, or a 16.7% chance.
The draw can be backed at 11/4, and both teams to score is available at 1/1.

As mentioned, Denmark failed to win any of their group games, however, they didn't lose any either.
In the end, they managed to secure second place, but it's hard to shake the feeling that this team is past its best. They did a decent job of frustrating England, but didn't set the world alight against Serbia and Slovenia.
Germany have enough quality to win this game, and should be in full control from the first whistle. Nagelsmann's side have won five and drawn two of their last seven games, which includes victories over France and the Netherlands.
Jamal Musiala to score anytime @ 11/5
Musiala has been one of the tournament's standout players so far.
The 21-year-old has had five shots at Euro 2024 and scored against both Hungary and Scotland, while he also found the net on 10 occasions in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich this season.
At 11/5, he's a decent pick to find the back of the net anytime on Saturday.

If I had to predict a scoreline for this match, I'm going for a 2-0 victory for Germany.
Germany have scored exactly two goals in four of their last seven games, which includes the 2-0 win over Hungary in the group stages.
Denmark have mustered just two goals in three games at Euro 2024, and Germany's defence has been one of the best at the tournament, so I'm expecting them to keep things tight at the back here.
