Galatasaray vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction: Goals expected in Istanbul

Galatasaray welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Rams Global Stadium on Thursday (17:45, TNT Sports 1) looking to maintain their unbeaten run in the Uefa Europa League. The Turkish club have collected seven points so far in the league phase, and they won a 4-3 cracker against Elfsborg last time out.
Spurs have won all three of their fixtures to date, so they will head here in high spirits. They will have further been boosted by the thumping 4-1 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League at the weekend. Read on for my Galatasaray vs Tottenham Hotspur prediction, including match odds and team news.
Galatasaray vs Tottenham Hotspur Betting Tips
Galatasaray vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds
Galatasaray are 13/10 to win this encounter, which gives them an implied probability of 43.5%. Tottenham are priced at 9/5 to take the three points, giving them a theoretical chance of 35.7%. The draw is marketed at 11/4 (26.7%).
Both teams to score is valued at 4/11 and over 2.5 goals can be backed at 2/5.
Galatasaray's Yunus Akgun has three goals in the Europa League already this season, and he 11/4 to score anytime on Thursday evening. Tottenham winger Brennan Johnson has two for himself, and he can be found at 12/5 to find the back of the net at any stage during this fixture.
Team News
Ismail Jakobs is the only injury absentee for Galatasaray, which will come as a boost to boss Okan Burak. He will welcome back goalkeeper Fernando Muslera from suspension for this game, and the Uruguayan is set to return between the sticks on Thursday.
Defender Davinson Sanchez will get a crack at his former employers, and he heads into this one with an eye for goal, having scored against Besiktas last weekend. He is set to partner Abdulkerim Bardakci in the heart of the back line.
Former Arsenal man Luca Torreira should start in the engine room alongside ex-Norwich City man Gabriel Sara, who was sensational for the Canaries in the Championship last season. Many thought he would be representing a Premier League club this season.
Burak must decide whether to start one of Victor Osimhen or Mauro Icardi up front or play them together against Spurs. Osimhen has three goals in his last four matches, while Icardi has six for the season.
Tottenham have a trio out with hamstring injuries. Richarlison became the latest at the weekend against Aston Villa, joining Micky van de Ven and Wilson Odobert in the treatment room.
Christian Romero was also taken off with a foot injury at the weekend, and so he is a major doubt to feature in Istanbul, with Ange Postecoglou potentially missing both his first-choice centre-backs. This should pave the way for Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies to start together on Thursday.
Full-back Djed Spence will be assessed ahead of the game after suffering with a groin problem in recent weeks.
The likes of Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, Mikey Moore, Timo Werner and Lucas Bergvall will all be hoping to be recalled to the starting lineup.
Over 3.5 goals @ 1/1
I smell goals in this match, so I think backing over 3.5 could offer great value on Thursday. It has been a winning selection in five of Galatasaray's 10 Turkish Super Lig fixtures this season, including three of their six home matches.
We have also seen at least four goals scored in all three of their Europa League clashes to date this term, so I think we will see this trend continue on Thursday evening, especially because of the quality on offer from both sets of teams.
Galatasaray have the likes of Akgun, Osimhen and Icardi to deliver the goods in front of goal, while Spurs have Dominic Solanke, Johnson, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski amongst others who are capable of getting on the scoresheet.
For Tottenham, over 3.5 goals landed in their last match at the weekend against Villa and has appeared a further four times for them in the Premier League this season. In the Europa League, they are yet to be involved in a match that produces four goals, but I think this will change in Istanbul.

Dominic Solanke anytime goalscorer @ 13/8
In the late, late show against Villa at the weekend, Solanke scored twice to help seal the three points for Spurs, and you could see how much those goals had meant to him.
The striker arrived in north London over the summer with a weight of expectation on his shoulders following a £60m move from AFC Bournemouth, as well as the fact he scored 19 league goals last season.
Solanke ended a three-game streak in the league without a goal, and that will have given him some much-needed confidence ahead of this Europa League clash. He has already opened his account in Europe, having scored and assisted in Spurs' opening win against Qarabag back in September.
He will be eager to extend his tally in Turkey on Thursday as he knows it will help him stay sharp ahead of the final league fixture before the November international break, which comes at home to strugglers Ipswich Town this weekend.
Solanke will be fancying his chances to score against the Tractor Boys but those chances will be increased if he can find the back of the net against Galatasaray first. I'm backing him to do just that, which should aid his development at Spurs.
