Football Bet of the Day: Goals on the cards in WSL

On Wednesday night, we have a key Champions League semi-final taking place between Bayern Munich and PSG, but for our Football Bet of the Day my attention turns to the WSL.
Arsenal travel to face Brighton (19:45 BST, BBC iPlayer), hoping to keep their faint title hopes alive.
Football Bet of the Day - Wednesday, 6 May 2026
- Price Boost - Brighton and Arsenal to both score 2+ goals @ 11/2

Brighton are in cracking form right now in the WSL and are now five games unbeaten since losing 2-1 to Chelsea in March. They were moments away from beating Manchester United on the road last time out but conceded in injury time as Lea Schuller found a 94th-minute equaliser, but the form has been strong for Dario Vidosic’s side.
This run includes, notably, a 2-0 away win at Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-final, a shock win that means Brighton are just two more wins from glory this term. Madison Haley and Caitlin Hayes found the goals that day and Brighton have got themselves up to sixth in the table, with a win here taking them just five points behind Spurs.
Obviously, it remains a big ask to go and beat Arsenal, who are the obvious favourites to win this game at 3/10. With Brighton’s big semi-final coming on Thursday, I don’t want to back them to get a result, but I do think they can take part in a truly entertaining game.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Arsenal have won their last six league games
- Brighton beat Arsenal 2-0 in the FA Cup, and 4-2 at home last season
- Brighton have scored six goals in their last three
Arsenal are going to be without Manuela Zinsberger, Katie Reid, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Beth Mead while Steph Catley is also a doubt. Brighton pulled off a 4-2 home win over Arsenal in May 2025 and will be targeting a repeat here, while Arsenal crashed out of Europe on Saturday as they lost 3-2 on aggregate to European champions Lyon.
Renee Slegers’ side now look likely to finish trophyless, unless they can make up an 11-point gap on leaders Manchester City. They have three games in hand so it is not impossible, but City have just one game remaining and know that a victory will give them the title.
Arsenal have won six in a row in the league and should be confident here, so I can see a high-scoring encounter taking place on Wednesday night. As a result, I do think both teams to score 2+ goals is a decent shout at a big price of 11/2. Betfred’s Price Boost is our Football Bet of the Day for Wednesday night.
