Football Bet of the Day: Tasty League 2 fixture the focus for Saturday

Despite the absence of the Premier League and Championship, there's still some club football taking place this weekend in League 1 and League 2.
Our Football Bet of the Day for Saturday, November 15 comes from Stadium MK as fifth-placed MK Dons host fourth-placed Salford City - and you can find my reasoning below.
Football Bet of the Day - Saturday, November 15
- Salford City & Yes - Match Result & Both Teams to Score @ 9/2
*odds correct at time of publication
The hosts are 5/4 favourites for Saturday's contest, giving them an implied win probability of 44.4%, while Salford are 21/10 to pick up a big win away from home. The draw is a 5/2 chance.
Both teams enter this contest off the back of draws in the league - MK Dons and Barnet finishing 2-2, while Salford shared the spoils in a stalemate with Crawley Town.
The Dons were clinical in their match against Barnet as they came from two goals down to salvage a draw, producing just three shots on target last weekend. In addition, 17 of the other 23 teams in League 2 have generated more shots than Saturday's hosts.
Paul Warne's side have claimed victory in four of their last six matches in the league, although their overall form makes for grim reading, winning just one, drawing one and losing the other two of their most recent four fixtures across all competitions.
Stadium MK hasn't exactly been a fortress this term either, as the Dons have tasted defeat in front of their own fans in five of their last seven outings.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- MK Dons are winless across their last four league games against sides from Greater Manchester
- Salford City won both fixtures against MK Dons 1-0 last season
- MK Dons have scored the highest amount of goals in League 2 this term - 29 in 15 games
On the other hand, Salford are currently unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions, winning four of those games during that run.
Karl Robinson will be hopeful of a strong performance from his side here, who won both clashes against the Dons last season 1-0.
That's not the way I see this game playing out, as I believe there'll be goals at both ends of the pitch - MK Dons have scored in nine straight games and boast the league’s highest goal tally, while Salford have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five away matches.
I'm also backing Salford to come away with all three points - they're in better form than their hosts heading into this fixture, and while they've not been as free-flowing in attack, it wouldn't be surprising to see them claim a narrow victory on Saturday afternoon.
