Football Bet of the Day: Lopez to land first blow on Juve

We head to Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo, Brazil, for Saturday's Football Bet of the Day, with EC Juventude providing the opposition to hosts Palmeiras.
Thirty-two points separate the sides in the Serie A table, with leaders Palmeiras, who won back-to-back championships in 2022 and 2023 before relinquishing their crown last year, on course to lift silverware at the end of the season, while 19th-placed Juventude are mired in a relegation scrap.
Football Bet of the Day - Saturday, October 11
- First Goalscorer in Palmeiras vs EC Juventude (23:00 BST) - Jose Manuel Lopez (PAL) @ 7/2

Palmeiras have won their last two games, beating Vasco da Gama 3-0 at home on October 2 before edging out Sao Paulo 3-2 away three days later.
Verdao are unbeaten at Allianz Parque since suffering a 2-0 Copa do Brasil defeat there to Corinthians on August 7, and they haven’t lost a league game at home since going down 2-0 to Flamengo on May 25. They’ve won their last five home matches across all competitions, and on Saturday, should make light work of Juve, who have collected a joint-league-low five points on their travels.
Juve are winless in their last five games (D2, L3) and have scored just twice since the start of September, blanking in three separate matches in their winless run.
Saturday's visitors to Alliana Parque have shipped a Serie A-high 31 goals on their travels this term, averaging 2.58 goals conceded per away game.
Palmeiras vs EC Juventude Odds
That's music to the ears of Palmeiras forward Jose Lopez, who has been in red-hot form over the last couple of weeks.
The 24-year-old, who started his career at Argentine side Independiente before joining Lanus in 2017 and leaving for Brazil five years later, has struck five times across his last four appearances, only failing to find the back of the net in a 1-0 defeat to Bahia on September 28.
Three days earlier, he bagged a brace in a 3-1 victory over River Plate in the second leg of Verdao's Copa Libertadores quarter-final tie, and the 3-0 win against Vasco at the start of this month, he repeated that feat, netting twice in Sao Paulo.
Lopez was on the scoresheet again last Sunday, claiming his side's equalising effort against Sao Paulo, who Palmeiras went on to beat 3-2.
Football Bet of the Day Stats
- Lopez (PAL) has scored nine goals in 23 Serie A apps this season (14 starts)
- The Argentine striker opened the scoring in PAL's last home game (3-0 v Vasco, Oct 1)
- JUV have conceded first in seven of their last nine away matches
Lopez has now scored 18 goals in 2025, including nine in 23 Serie A appearances, just 14 of which have been starts.
With fellow forward Vitor Roque, who is Palmeiras' leading marksman in the league this season with 10 goals, suspended on Saturday over a recent social media post, Lopez will likely start up top again for Verdao, making him an attractive option in the First Goalscorer market.
The Argentine opened the scoring in the victory over Vasco earlier this month and was also first on target in the 3-0 win against Sport Recife on August 25.
Juve have conceded the first goal in seven of their last nine away games, and with Vitor Roque out, Lopez looks most likely to strike first for the home side this Saturday.
